The flavour is sour, but nicely balanced with a berrylike sweetness. It’s very vineous and complex. I liked it very much! Davinci (296), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Nose is understated, faint wine cranberry tart aroma, berry aroma gradually grows as it warms. Flavor is distinctly Cantillon with pleasant vinegar tartness and clean flavors of cranberry more than wine grape. Finish is lingering fruit skin (grape, cranberry, plum) with a tannic dryness characteristic of these flavors. There is a mild berry sweetness to the middle , though still that of unripened fruit. As it warms flavors become more brightly berry with some interesting spice notes. Body is nice and vinous. Quite delicious. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Aroma was at first of black currents, dry, with some rustic somewhat mold like lemony, bretty lambic funk. poured a medium purple color with a small light purple head and many tiny bubbles. Flavor grow more intensly of lambic as it warmed. Flavor started as black currents, with hints of lemon, and moderately sour. Bright citrus flavors grow towards the bottom of the glass into a nicely sour lambic, with some blackberry. Very soft palate. Another pleasure to drink from Cantillon. corby112 (783), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Sour earthy aroma with a lot of berry and grape. Intensely sour/tart at first with a beautifuly balanced by the sweet grape and berry flavor. Puckering but not too acidic. Very refreshing and excellent tasting lambic. Gr0ve (1428), Oslo, Norway
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2008 750 ml bottle. Hazy deep red colour. Medium-sized white fince-laced head. Acidic, but mellow red berries aroma. Sharp for sure, but still nicely balanced. Low carbonation, but very refreshing. Sour and tart flavours and a little fruit. Long-lasting sourness with little fruit in the finish, mostly acid. FatPhil (3560), Espoo, Finland

Rich red, small pink head. Musty aroma, and a crotchy acrid sourness. Sticky bitter sour mouthtaste initially, but that transitions to a lighter elderflower and fruity body. Long dry bitter finish. A tad winey, and also bitter for me, and didn’t have the level of mellowness I expected from the oak barrel aging. Driftwood6 (214), USA

I prefer something a touch darker and richer. Aroma and palate are almost pure wine. It’s good-- but tastes like a barrel aged wine. I like Grand Cru, but this is a bit too winey for my tastes. mirjukka (706), LOHJA, Finland
