Aroma is sour with some touch of sweetness. Taste is quite a surprise with less acidity then I would have expected from Cantillon with a nice balance between the grapes and the lambic. Carbonation is quite strong and body is quite light. Well balance tart and sweetness with the grapes less dominant then expected. Probably one of the only Cantillon that I wouldn’t mind drinking a whole 750ml by myself on a hot summer day. Papsoe (15178), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2006 (Bottle 75 cl) Hazy reddish with a rather handsome, pinkish head. Markedly sour aroma. Very sour flavours with typical Cantillon barnyard notes - this is like red wine vinegar with some fruityness. 120106 JonMoore (1562), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Bottle. Hazy red with a slim pink head. Sour fruit and the barnyard dominate the nose, but the wine is also detectable. Sour taste, grapes, apples, vinegar, tannin, and some woodyness. Medium bodied, dry and puckering. Outstanding. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2006 Beautiful stuff, lovely glowing red. Nose is, uh, different. It smells exactly like a cow took a dump in my glass. Much to my surprise, I don’t mind all that much, but hey, maybe that’s the smells of my Iowa youth coming back to me. Flavor is bright and fruitiy, quite pungent with a sharp green apple bite. Sour, but certainly not overpowering, retains an easy drinkability, manages to be punchy and explosive without overpowering the experience. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

The dark red body was attractive. The aroma was typical Cantillon with funky horseblanket, vinegar and apples. The taste was very tart with vinegar and a hint of the grapes. There was also some leather in the finish. I could barely tell that this was a fruit lambic. sprinkle (114), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
