From the bottle. Amber with strong red notes, no real head to speak of after a minute or two. Barnyard funk, slight oak, berries, grapes, citrus. Sour taste balanced with sweetness.

on cask @ La Capsule, Lille - FR. Color: clear red beer with no carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: acid nose with grapes and red fruits as raspberry. Taste: nice sour taste with good balance of fruit. Really tasty and with a good balance. Not so sour. Aftertaste: fruity taste, strawberry and raspberry.

Shared bottle with a friend. Poured a light purple red colour with a non lasting white head. Full aroma of grapes, apples, tart, oak, vineous notes, Brett, light carbonated, with a full sour mouthfeel combined with some sweet fruity grapes. Very complex! Awesome beer! Delicious

pours hazy burgundy-purple with a tall frothy off-white-purplish head, good retention and lacing. tart cherries and appreciable funk - kind of like plastered cherries, reminiscent of krieks; light acidity - lactic, citric and quite acetic too - ruins a bit my pleasure, very astringent and vinous, fruity phenolic esters, pepper and other spices. lively carbonation, light body - never watery, dry, fairly tart and grassy-spicy finish. very nice and tasty but the best cantillon fruit lambic.

Bottle at Jeremy’s very sour tasting. Thanks Matt. Lots of red grape and sour. Doesn’t have the funk or acidity I was expecting.

Slight grape, wetting oak, slight pond water, wonderful sour with oak receiving a second run in the end. Fabulous example.

Bottle share.... Thanks, Mar!!! Aroma is sour with some hints towards grape. Appearance is purple with pink foam. Taste is sour with grape undertones. Palate is sour as balls. Overall, a great beer. Wish I could have it all the time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cheesy, funky, toe jam raspberry nose. Cloudy rose, medium pink head. Intensely sour, less funky, but still feety, more fruity, oaky raspberry. Tannic., but lots of wild character.

Pours a crystal clear ruby red with a fat finger of pink head diminishing gradually to a thin skim and minimal lacing. Nose is tart cherries, apple cider vinegar, vinous oak and barnyard funk. Taste is tart berry (cherry and grape) with a perfect balance of sweet and sour, slight oak and funk on the finish. Mouth feel is light and lively, with a persistent prickly carbonation and a great dry finish. Wow. Even better than the Cantillon Kriek. The flavour is less intense, but more complex. Beautifully restrained tartness and wonderful fruity sweetness. Unlike the Kriek, I don’t get the impression of exuberant youth and the promise of future improvement; rather, it’s perfect just as it is.
