4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL bottle, split 4 ways, pours an opaque purplish dark red with virtually no head. Aroma is intense sourness, loads of funk, dry unsweetened rotting grapes and yeast. Flavour is very puckering in sourness, with loads of very tart, dry red grapes, lots of barnyard funk, no sweetness, and red wine qualities. Very complex, dry, intensely sour and drinkable. Delicious

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(brewtopia04, bottle) Opaque fuschia without head. Aroma is vinous, old sweaty socks, barnyard. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium acidity, i.e., not as much as most Cantillon, medium body.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at La Capsule, Lille, France. Clouded red to brown with white head. There is a fruity sweetness which is cut through by a tannin tartness. Woody notes, sharp and tangy, rich on the palate. Very pleasant.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottle) Pours a pinkish-red punch-like color with a white head. The aroma dances up your nasal passages with a beutiful bouquet of grapes. Has a tart flavor and hints of come woodiness. I would like to try a bottle that has been aged a little bit longer (3-5 years)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2014 2002 bottled. Reddish pink color, firm head. Typical Cantillon aroma. Oak, lemon and sone honey. A hint of grapes, but certainly not very apparent. The grapes are really there in the flavor. Rubber, oak, and grapefruit. Honey, some yoghurt. A gentle sourness in a fine lambic with a vinous character. Not the best Cantillon there is, but still a great beer.
nov 2012 bottle, tasted July 2014. Red color. Grapes, grape peels, citrus and oak on the aroma. Well rounded sour flavor with grapes, remaining tannines, oak, grapefruit. The complexity is there, the fruit is there. Great beer.
