Had a what they said was a 2007 bottle and a 2001 bottle at One Pint Pub! 2007: Apperance: First pour was clear hay golden color with a nice white head. Later pours were more cloudy and the yeastshot was dark grey. Aroma: Funky, horseblanket, salty, moldy fruits, tart, green apples, sour, hay, barnyard, classic cantillon aroma! Taste: Tart berries, hay, tart apples, salty, sulfuric, old cheese, stinky, lots of classic cantillon funk and salty seaberries. I have not tasted buckthorn in itself but I can clearly see their tasteprofile. The give the beer a very interesting flavour and aroma. Lovely! (4,6) 2001 (Bottle 166/250) Apperance: clear hay, golden had a small white head. leaves some small bubbles. Looks good! Aroma: Lot more tart than the 07. Green apples, very balanced, more subdued components in this one. The cheesy sulfuric smell is very nicely blended together with the tart berries and the classic cnatillon funk. Taste: Very tart and sour, nice salty flavoured berries. Flavours are blended together nicely and creates a very complex and interesting profile. Unlike any other Cantillon I´ve had before! This is outstanding. I prefer this a little over the 07 because of the nice blending together of the different components. (4,7) These two bottles were a great experience and the brew was divine!

Clear orange lambic with a big foamy white head. Very sour but fresh aroma. Good flavours of tyrni! (sea buckthorn) Sour and bitter but not very long after taste.

’09 vintage bottle consumed at One Pint Pub. Clear yellow/orange pour with a faint white head. Sour berry aromas with fleeting oak undercurrents. Amazing mouthfeel, good body and carbonation. To be honest, I drank this more than once at the pub. It was my favorite of the three. Sea-Buckthorn is very astringent and definitely dominates the beer. It takes a more than a few sips to really start to appreciate this fantastic lambic. Acidic and tart with sour sea-buckthorn, vinegar, wood, and sour apple notes. Simply amazing.....

Bottle 37,5 cl at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Poured cloudy pale golden in colour with a fluffy white head. Sour apple, vinegar, wild berries and earthy notes as well. Grapefruit, wild berries and barnyard in flavour. Really tasty brew this one.

Hazy orange with minimal and quickly vanishing head. Aroma consists of sour notes, acids and tyrni (yeah, those orange berries). Flavour is very sour with more tyrni berries. Awesomely unique.

37,5 cl bottle @ One Pint Pub. Rated on 4.12.2010
Aroma is rather sour and tart with some berries and earthy notes. Flavour is really tart and sour with berries – I am not sure what ’Tyrni’ tastes like but I suppose this is it. Also some earthy notes and grapefruit. I liked the sourness here, but I feel that something’s missing. Definitely one of the most sour beers I’ve had.

brewed every year, this one you might get a chance to try, 1 of 250 bottles, 2009 bottling... never having sea buckthorn its a bit tough to describe or pull out the flavors, really similar to a guezue with a bit of sweet fruit

37.5 cl bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on July 21, 2011
Hazy golden color, white head. Very acidic to sour scent, also some sour berries. Not as sour taste as I expected, still fairly sour and acidic, also some sour berry taste. Moussy mouthfeel, very low bitterness.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 Bottle @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Originally rated on 10.7.2010. Sour, quite exotic fruit lambic with notes of berries and fruits. 7-3-8-4-16 = 3.8

Re-rated on 22.11.2012 @ One Pint Pub. Wow, this one has picked up a lot more sourness and tart berry notes over the years. Complex, tasty lambic.
