Snow white head, unclear milky yellow body. Mild fruity aroma, some tartness, pretty intense. Some sweetness from the fruit. Flavor is very fruity with a well balanced sourness, so fruity it shows lemonade characters. Sharp, biding feeling on the tongue. Really nice, I love it when the fruit characters shines through so much! Thanks a lot J!

brewed every year, this one you might get a chance to try, 1 of 250 bottles, 2009 bottling... never having sea buckthorn its a bit tough to describe or pull out the flavors, really similar to a guezue with a bit of sweet fruit

37.5 cl bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on July 21, 2011
Hazy golden color, white head. Very acidic to sour scent, also some sour berries. Not as sour taste as I expected, still fairly sour and acidic, also some sour berry taste. Moussy mouthfeel, very low bitterness.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2011 375 mL cork & cap bottle smuggled by my friend. Cap is popped and the inches out by itself. Cork states bottled in 2008, old labels are wrong about being bottled in 2002. The beer is poured and the head fades immediately. This makes for a very loud beer. It becomes apple cider-like in appearance. The beer is not signature Cantillon, its much more appleskin with prickly and rotten-like vinegar aspects. The flavor packs a shorter than normal (for Cantillon) sour punch but still there. Has a long dry finish, not as dry as a regular Cantillon. No particular berry becomes apparent as I drink this beer. But heck, its still a Cantillon.

(Bottled, vintage 2006 @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki.) Hazy, light orange colour with notes of yeast. Head dissappears quickly when poured. Sour fruits on the aroma. The taste is full of sour buckthorn and grapefruit. The palate is medium carbonated which reminds me of tap versions of Cantillon lambics. Nice and dry finish. Delicious.

Bottled in 2002. Made for One Pint Pub in Helsinki, Finland.

This one’s made with sea buckthorn. The beer is a mix of straw colored liquids and orange solids. Doesn’t smell like much aside from metal and minerals.

Ugh. Tastes like pickled straw and urinal cakes. This isn’t fruit, it’s a form of warfare. I consider myself a seasoned lambic drinker, but this was so tart it hurt.

The 375ml bottle lasts an hour. The flavor profile is short, cleaning up after itself quickly, mercifully.

2003 vintage in July 2010 at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. 15 EUR for a bottle of 37.5 cl. Hazy golden orange with a small white head. Quite sour aroma with an interesting fruitiness. Very dry and very, very refreshing. Long aftertaste, I’m glad I tried it.
