Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

Holy cow. Bottle. 2012. A ton of barnyard with a residual sweetness that is just enough to balance it out. The grapes arenít very prevalent but there is a certain aspect that is slightly more complex about this beer than the others Iíve had. Very petable.

One of the easier to get íloons, but for some reason this one has eluded me for years. Finally I get to try it on tap at the Ol bottleshop in Walnut Creek. It pours a hazy yellow/orange color with a white head. The aroma is full with white grape, white vinegar, grapefruit and citric acid. Surprisingly, Iím getting a little alcohol in there as well. The flavor is acidic with white wine, grapefruit and a crisp, funky tart finish. More alcohol presence than most Lambics Iíve had. Very refreshing and intensely sour in a good way.

This 2010 vintage is courtesy of dak. It pours with a totally opaque murky deep gold body that has copper edges and supports a white head. The aroma offers up yummy funk, basement, tartness, dry wood notes and some tart fruit skins. The taste is thin and then refreshing. It gets into earthy basement, some lemon citrus like tartness, a dash of soft vinegar and fruit and tart tannic fruit skins. It ends with dryness and a growing sense of vinegar. Good stuff with a pleasing balance of flavors.

Hazy pale golden colour with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma hs notes of acidic green apples, white wine and light citrus. Flavor has amedium acidic sensation with notes of yeast, light citrus, white grapes and some wooden notes. Mild acidic final dominated by grapes and yeast. Highly recommended.
