kapusta (84), Dover, Delaware, USA Dec 31, 2007 Very musty and haylike in the aroma.Smelled lie it was an old rafter left drying in a closed door room. The color was a bright opaque orange, and there was little to no head to speak of. The taste was extremely sour and almost too tart o drink. I understand that this is "lambic" though. There was a citrus, musty flavor and I could not tast grapes at all. I was glad to try this, but I am afraid that I would not purchase again. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Dec 11, 2007 The color is beautiful, deep orange-golden and the aroma has strong notes of barnyard and mould/basement. The flavour is moderately sour, yet tart with notes of barnyard, fruits, sweat and mould. 2407 EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Dec 7, 2007 Corked and capped green bottle. Bottled in 2003. Classic lambic house aroma from Cantillon, a rush of vinegar and sour citrus and wild yeast, with a touch of woody grape. Noisy golden pour, clear with a short and aggressive white head. Taste is intensely sour, tart and acidic with the muscat rounding the taste off a bit from their regular gueuze. Notes of honey and wood. Very dry. Medium-full body. I like the mellow take from this brewer - though I still wouldn’t want to drink it with a cut or sore in my mouth, this stuff isn’t exactly eating through tissue. Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Nose is muted but apparencies of barnyard, fruits, and cider. Initial taste is mouth shockingly sour with other fruits lingering. Slight mustiness with apples & grapes in the background. Finishing dry and average palate duration. Medium body. Definitely very sour but I can drink many 750’s of this no problem.. Scauca (408), Lovere, Italy Nov 5, 2007 No head and a beautiful bright orange. More fruity than other cantillon’s ( at least of those i’ve already sampled ), and less funky. Woody in mouth as in the nose, very dry and sour. voota (761), Melbourne, Australia Nov 3, 2007 Slightly hazed light golden with pretty much no head. Subdued aroma, slightly like a cask of dry sunnyvale white wine (not that I ever drink it). Otherwise there is a touch of vanilla and some definite tannic notes. Light fluffy mouthful, sharp but not sour. Flavours run a different line to the aroma, musky apricot and some tannins again. Quick sharp finish. Interesting stuff, but not my favorite from cantillon. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA Nov 2, 2007 Shared by ogglethorp. Nice sour, funky aroma coming from a cloudy golden colored body. The taste is definitely sour, lemony, and yeasty. Not the most sour I’ve had, but probably a out of 10 in that department. Oak flavors balance the funkiness just enough to make this a nice treat. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Oct 26, 2007 Courtesy Redlight. Thanks Brent! Pours a pale orange color, with a small, quickly disappearing white head. Smells of traditional Cantillon funk, very acidic and sour smelling, to go along with some fruity notes. Just plain sour. One thing this brewetry is, is consistent. The familiar Cantillon sourness just attacks me from all angles. \Hardly even notice the grapes or fruits that are brewed with this beer. If you like sour, this is for you. If you dont, run and hide.
