Barnyard aroma. Nice tart bite to the taste. Very inviting. The barnyard funk is in the taste as well. Maybe some wet hay and mustard seed. Some citrus notes in here as well (lime?). Very nice. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 22, 2008 750ml bottled on Oct30 2006. Pours a hazy lemon yellow, translucent with a small but compact white head. Aroma is winey, tart, brett, dry, almonds, hay. The grape component does not stick out, at least not that I can discern. Real nice Geuze like smell though, very appetizing. Taste is tart (my cheeks quench tightly on the first sip), cidery, dry, light bodied with a sparkling wine finish. Pretty sour. A very noticeable lemon flavor, similar to drinking lemon juice for just a moment, though this is not at all unpleasant. Relatively high sweetness, very high acidity. This is one of the more interesting lambics I’ve had and not really in the ways I was expecting. Very nice effort. Adenila (936), Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Really stunning hazy orange look, with a decent white head. Aroma of classic wild fermentation, like a gueuze with only a hint of sweet fruits. Flavor is sour towards tart and very refreshing, wouldnt hurt with even more muscat grapes imo since they didnt come through all that much kapusta (84), Dover, Delaware, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Dec 31, 2007 Very musty and haylike in the aroma.Smelled lie it was an old rafter left drying in a closed door room. The color was a bright opaque orange, and there was little to no head to speak of. The taste was extremely sour and almost too tart o drink. I understand that this is "lambic" though. There was a citrus, musty flavor and I could not tast grapes at all. I was glad to try this, but I am afraid that I would not purchase again. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 11, 2007 The color is beautiful, deep orange-golden and the aroma has strong notes of barnyard and mould/basement. The flavour is moderately sour, yet tart with notes of barnyard, fruits, sweat and mould. 2407 EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Corked and capped green bottle. Bottled in 2003. Classic lambic house aroma from Cantillon, a rush of vinegar and sour citrus and wild yeast, with a touch of woody grape. Noisy golden pour, clear with a short and aggressive white head. Taste is intensely sour, tart and acidic with the muscat rounding the taste off a bit from their regular gueuze. Notes of honey and wood. Very dry. Medium-full body. I like the mellow take from this brewer - though I still wouldn’t want to drink it with a cut or sore in my mouth, this stuff isn’t exactly eating through tissue. Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Nose is muted but apparencies of barnyard, fruits, and cider. Initial taste is mouth shockingly sour with other fruits lingering. Slight mustiness with apples & grapes in the background. Finishing dry and average palate duration. Medium body. Definitely very sour but I can drink many 750’s of this no problem..
