Marsiblursi (1631), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 23, 2007 (Bottle) Pours hazy yellow. Fruity and citric aroma of lemon, blood grapefruit and blood oranges. Light woody and light notes of grape. Medium sour. Something a bit spicy is also notable. Fruity, citrusy flavour with some wood. Light tart, some tannins and rather dry. Medium body. Kalli (474), Falun, Sweden Jul 23, 2007 Really tarty aroma with something akin to apple and hints of honey. Sour and fruity taste, somewhat one-dimensional, but very refreshing and drinkable. Proteus (98), Finland Jul 22, 2007 Bottle. A very hazy yellow color, standing still it reminds me of honey. Sour aroma but doesn’t differ from the Cantillons gueuze aroma that much. The particularity comes out in the flavor which is a mixture of basic lambic and white wine, a very balanced flavor but tends to go more towards white wine in the end. The lambic tartness isn’t coming out that much and the finish gets a bit mellow. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Jul 9, 2007 Draught @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours a darkish hazy yellow/orange color with a small white head. Sour tart fruity malty aroma. Sweet malty but tart fruity grapefruit flavor. Tart sourish fruity finish. Furseth (1328), Kungälv, Sweden Jul 9, 2007 Bottle: Hazy yellow colour, flat head. Aroma of sournes, Citric, Viny, sparkling, citrus, Orange. Flvor is almost the same, but has a nice maltynes in between all this nicy sourness mix. Complex is the word for this beer. Medium body, nice long fruity finish. Slightly cloudy dark yellow, a few bubbles. Slightly sour and quite sweet aroma - honey and raisons. Very sharp crisp taste - starts with raisons and lambic, leaves a smooth sweet malt taste that lasts for ever. ekstedt (2411), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 26, 2007 Bottle, 75 cl. Cloudy orange yellow, tiny and very short white head. Grapefruits dominate the aroma, no clear wooden horsestable notes. I can imagine some white grape notes in the background, but could never have picked them out in a blind test. Medium bodied, a bit spritzy CO2 feeling. Sure is "mellow" compared to other Cantillon brews, but still a bit unbalanced with too much acidity i.m.o. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden Jun 18, 2007 Bottle, 75cl. Opaque yellow colour with a small white head. Funky fruity aroma with notes of citrus. Nice acidic flavour. A little bit unbalanced.
