Commercial Description:
Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines.

[ Bottled ; chilled ; 2004 vintage ; with IDLB and MtlCrew ]
A fully diminushing small fizzy white head that tops up a hazy light orange body. No lacing. Few average size particules. Many medium bubbles. Deep barnyard, acidic and basement-like nose, all together. Less tartness/sharp then the FouFoune we had right before. More smooth and mellow. Cant really feel the muscat grapes, but from the unsual thin sweet floral aroma. Carbonatation is a little weak and refrain the flavors. Dry mouthfel but not as acidic as i’ve come to like Cantillon.

2004 vintage, sampled at the "let’s piss off Clark" tasting.

A darker shade of peach, sort of like apricot juice. Like most lambics, head is pretty much non-existent.
Aroma is like an old French farmhouse, filled with hay, the shingles are a little old, the rain slowly drips in. A few tired old work horses, their heavy leather saddles hung on the support beams for the night.
Acidity is a much more tame than the Foufoune that blew me away minutes before, it still had that great musty Cantillon flavor, the usual lively carbonation was a bit more subdued, odd since this bottle is relatively young. Aftertaste was also a little less intense, not as drying. A great Beer for sure, just not at the level of some of the others, IMHO.

The smell is horrible i was feeling like i was in a stable but i must say that the taste (oh lucky me) was different from that. Its sour (duh) and we feel the raisin in it but let me say that the end remember not excactly the smell but...something like that well not a beer for me the only point that i like about this beer is that her taste is really different then her smell

Bottle. Big classic Cantillon geuze nose-horsey, barn, brettriffic! Deep yellow fizzy body that looks like heavy champagne. Taste-instant sour blast followed by a quick sweet thinness. Toasty brett, oak, light tart tannins, lingering astringency, light pear and apple. Overall not one of Cantillon’s best beers, but even this is way above average. To sum it up, this is a classic Cantillon geuze with some lingering fruit and a thinner body. Gets an extra point on appearance for lively CO2 and foam ring.

Gueuze gueuze gueuze! This is the latest Cantillon I’ve tasted. No head, very thin and has an orange appearance. Served in a fantome tulip - perfect glass for it. Big nose with grapefruit notes all over the place with that ever-present barnyard signature the brewery is known for. Sour grapes force you to breathe for a moment...definitely an onslaught of sourness. Had this as a palate cleanser in the middle of a barleywine tasting...a very refreshing and needed break. Get it.

Hazy golden color. No head. Aroma is full and tart. Pretty well balanced, some nice sweet honey in there. The finish is sour.
