Taste is sour fruit, funky cheese. Quite dry, tart and acidic. Very good! Thanks for sharing mds. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 26, 2005 bottle. 2004 cork. light golden-coloured hazy body and a small almost non-existent head. strong grape (skins) in the aroma, there is some funkiness but it’s not as pronounced as other Cantillon beers that I’ve had. Menancingly tart and unforunately I didn’t feel that there was much depth to the body. Grape flavour is prominent throughout with some grapefruit and lemon similarities. Dry like no other. Pretty good but not mind-blowing. mdi (573), Nebraska, USA

Good, but the fruit is lost on me outside of the slight tannins, and I think I’d prefer the gueuze, which this resembles, outside of its massive funky nose. bkelley68 (467), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2005 Orange/rust color. The aroma is initially sour, with the usual bret characteristics. But there is an underlying fruit thing going on, reminicent of a very tart sauvignon blanc. Very dry and sour flavor, but with a fruit presense throughout. Not as blisteringly sour as other cantilions I’ve had. The fruit is a very nice addition to the beer. Me like. shrubber85 (2878), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Bottle. Sour white wine aroma - smells like German Federweisser. Medium yellow - slightly cloudy with no head at all. Primarily a sour taste with a dry white wine flavor. Very litlle sweetness. More like a gueuze than most fruit lambics. NIce, smooth and dry. The aroma is that of a "mild" gueuze, mainly the acidic tartness from the wheat, with a mild trace of some fruit or other. In taste, it still is mainly like a "mild" gueuze, the difference here being that it feels as if one licked some grapes before drinking. I.e., the fruit here makes little change to my taste buds. Still, it’s a tasty, drinkable lambic.

Intensive lambic aroma, flavor has much acid, cider, lemon and grapefruit notes. Few notes of winegrapes.
