4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: Apricots, slight funk, some florals, vanilla...slight latexy sourness typical of Cantillon. Complexity is high.
Appearance: Cloudy amber, no head, somewhat still looking. Not the greatest aspect of it.
Taste: Grapes, lambic and grape skins are at the forefront with sour, sulphury, and a bit of barrel notes in the background. That being said, more could be said.
Palate: Sweet start with a sour and dry finish. Medium bodied.
Overall: Cantillon never fails to impress.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from La Fin Mousse. Clear dark orange pour with a small white ring for a head. Great sticky lacing. Quite a grape driven nose with some heavy lemon rind, barnyard and oak. Almost a sticky caramel note too. Sugar, grape skin, lemon zest, sticky caramel biscuit in the taste. Very balanced. Not overly sour so don’t expect to be puckered out or anything. Nice stuff

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2011 bottle. Light carbonation, hazy golden color, and a ring of foam that hugs the glass. The aroma has wheat, grapes, and a subtle funk to it. The flavor is acidic with a lite vinegar taste. There is grapes, wheat grain, weak malts, and weak hop flavor. The finish is tarty and fruity. The tart in the aftertaste fades and I was left with a fruit and minor grain taste. Overall a fine beverage.
