Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

Bottle at home in garden with the Beast, 6th June 15. This pours fairly clean and clear, good sparkle to start with and a small head. Aroma is vinous, funk, fruit, straw, barrel. Taste is vinous, slight sour, barrel, wood, damp cellar. As the beer warms it changes character, less bubbles, less sour, the malts come through, really mellow with a good taste of the base lambic shining. Great multi faceted lambic.

Bottle shared. Hazy golden with small head that leaves a nice ring in tiny little bubbles. Hay, quite grainy, funk, soft sweet fruits with grapes and gooseberry. Breakfast cereal basically with raisins and a soft layer of funk and Brett. There’s also some candy-like notes but obviously not the strong sweetness. Taste is light sweet with a medium sourness that somehow stays soft and isn’t acidic at all. Almost medium bodied with soft sparkling carbonation. Very nice.

Vigneronne ’14 vintage Pours a hazy amber-yellow color, with no head or visible carbonation. Smells surprisingly fruity, of young, juicy white grapes, embedded in dusty malts, wooden earth and a note of white lemon rind. This gives the beer a pleasant depth, with no flavor standing out too much on its own, the beer convinces by its balance, exhibiting a pleasant tart peak. Has a lower carbonation, as this is still a very young Lambic, while it is enough to set the brews taste into the right spotlight. The grapes arent too present on themselves, while they blend perfectly into the funky, acidic sourness. Its fruitiness reveals apple rind, soft grape pulp and a flowery grassiness, creating a dough, soft and pleasant appearance. Flowers blend well into the musty malts, revealing a soapy hint with unsweetened marzipan, fresh lemon juice and incredibly profound, well accentuated grapes. Finishes with a short lasting sourness, gently wrapped up by malts and flowery grass, pear, grapes and citrus likewise. This lambic features rich, multi layered and incredibly well integrated grapes, creating a round, diversified taste, with dry white pepper husk, dandelions, lemon peel and a note of honey. All these flavors find their balance in the tart, perfectly build lambic base, creating a fantastic beer.

Nose of grapes, funk. Unfiltered golden color with a minimal head. Beautiful carbonation profile. Green grapes throughout, funk - Well balanced! Really enjoyable/ drinkable. Delicate flavor profile - almost a sparkling wine, but less dry and sweet. Really enjoyed this one on multiple levels. Will age other bottle for a few years. ---Rated via Beer Buddy App
