Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

Hazy, peachy yellow colour. It’s sharp and tangy but not overly so. Plenty of fruity grape sweetness balances it well.

Orangy color with close to no foam. The smell is amazing. Sour anticipation runs down your throat when you smell it. Apple and stuff in the nose too. The sourness in the taste is enormous paired with a fine carbonation (wait a halftime or two, to let it decay to a certain degree). Grapes apple and fruitiness in general with a dry sour finish. The aftertaste is a bit doughy. There is almost sweetness underneath the sour taste. Great beer indeed.

Beautiful blend of sour and fruity. Not for the uninitiated, though. A bit too foamy at first, but settles down.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2015 Vintage 2012. Hazy orange color with a relatively big white head. Aroma of grapes and rhubarb. Quite a sweet bite there. Great funk. Taste is funky, sour and dry. With a distinct fruity grape character. Quite the carbonation there as well. Great! - Vintage 2004, courtesy of Toni at Zwanze Day 2015: The general character applies, but the acidity has become stronger. A mind-boggling mixture of white wine mellowness and dry sourness - lots of character!

Yellow to orange beer, with little white head. Almost clear without yeast, hazy and finally totally opaque murky with sediment. Aroma has peach, citrus, grainy malts, barnyard and nuts. Flavor is fruity, walnutty, barnyardy and grapey. Palate is quite thin with strong carbonation. Finish has medium bitterness and strong Cantillon sourness which is a bit tamed by the grapes. Aftertaste is has citrus and grapes. A juicy, crisp and refreshing lambic, not too sour.

Backlogging, notes from memory. 37,5cl vintage bottle from 1999. Got this vintage beauty poured from a lambic basket into a gueuze glass (paired with cheese, asorted sausages, pickled vegetables). Orange golden colour. The aroma I hot from this one was mindblowing, the brett had really evolved wonderfully. Big barnyard aroma, funky cheese, vinegar, cat pee, old cellar, grape peel. Really complex. Flavour was a lot of brett, vinous notes, grape peel, apple vinegar. It was very complex and the finish leaves your mouth dry and wanting more. It is not as vinous and fruity as it is fresh, like usual with old fruit lambics. Drinks great fresh but outstanding with a bit of age.

2013 bottle. Golden-orange pour. Nose is tart white grapes, funk. Taste is very tart and vinous, a touch of grapefruit, just so mellow and flavorful. Right up there with St. Lam as my favorite fruited lambic.
