COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vigneronne is a blending muscat grapes and lambic, the brewers and beer merchants produced the "druivenlambik" (grapes lambic). White grapes soaked in lambic. The fructose, which abounds in these fruits, enables us to make a beer which is more mellow than the Gueuze or the other fruit beers. The spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. Changed name from Druivenlambik in 1987.

Pours a hazy pale orange with a tiny bit of white head. Smell is sweet grapes, like a young champagne base wine and a bit of funk. Palate is medium bodied with a good amount of delayed carbonation. Taste is sweet at first then transitions to a quite sour taste that lingers a while but leaves a slight sweetness in the aftertaste to balance a bit of leftover sourness. AWESOME beer.

Bottle from La Fin Mousse. Clear dark orange pour with a small white ring for a head. Great sticky lacing. Quite a grape driven nose with some heavy lemon rind, barnyard and oak. Almost a sticky caramel note too. Sugar, grape skin, lemon zest, sticky caramel biscuit in the taste. Very balanced. Not overly sour so don’t expect to be puckered out or anything. Nice stuff

2011 bottle. Light carbonation, hazy golden color, and a ring of foam that hugs the glass. The aroma has wheat, grapes, and a subtle funk to it. The flavor is acidic with a lite vinegar taste. There is grapes, wheat grain, weak malts, and weak hop flavor. The finish is tarty and fruity. The tart in the aftertaste fades and I was left with a fruit and minor grain taste. Overall a fine beverage.

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 29/04/13. Lightly hazed golden with a good sized white head that soon dissipates to absolutely nothing. Nose is lemon rind, wood tones, sour fruits, grass, dank wood, grandads shed. Taste comprises tarte fruits, grape skins, sweetish sugar, light wood, shades od light white desert wine, apple core, lemon rind, funk. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Good stuff but not top draw.

Pours hazy peach with a small white head. Smells sour, vinous, and grapey. Taste is fruity, vinous, and surprisingly not sour. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Cantillon Vigneronne finishes lightly sour and quite fruity.
