Pours golden. Random notes at this point, sorry... very round finish. Very austere, funky but not acrid. Interesting. Definition of a sipper.

(#1100) Bottle at Cantillon and on tap at Akkurat. Pours hazy golden with a frothy white head. The bottle was fresh (2 days since bottling) and had lots of elder flower in the aroma, nice funky, tart, floral, hay, earth in the background. Taste is light fruity and floral sweetness up front, the acidity takes over in the end leading to a dry tart refreshing finish. Light/medium bodied.

Bottle as Zwanze 2009 at Moeder Fontainas. Pours a dark blond with a thick one inch lasting white head. Highly aromatic: floral, fruity and barnyard. The green pepper signature is also present and blends nicely with fruitiness. Taste is moderate lactic sourness with a strong floral presence. It is considerably smoother than fresh Mamouche. Awesome, impressive balance.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Armin. Thanks man! Decanted this one for around a half hour and It seemed to make a big difference. Pour is slightly hazy lemon peel with a small white head and good lacing. Fresh grassy aroma - resin, lemon peels, lactic, lavender, flower petals, biscuit, and honey in the aroma. Taste is grassy, funky, lemon, urine, horse blanket, raw fruits, biscuit, and lactic sourness with some heavy tartness on the backend. Light body with medium carbonation. Semi-bitter towards the end and definitely different, but cool.

Bottle 750 ml at home, poured into a teku glass. ABV 5% Beautiful golden colour on the body, clear, sunny and bright, with a small white head on top, with good retention, leaving minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is flowery with elder flower notes, peach, light vinegar. Taste also of flowers with peaches, light acidic, wood, grape notes. Very good. Medium thin body, low carbonation, tart palate. The best Cantillon I had till now.
