4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottles provided by Jean & Jean at WLV gathering.
Pours golden yellow, white fizzy head that dissipates down to a thin ring around the glass and some faint bubble on top here and there which act as a cap. Nice funk/sour notes, lemon zest, barnyard. Not quite as funky as the nose would suggest. Light hay notes, some bitter funk, slight lemon zest. Slight bitter funky finish. Light, crisp, fizzy carbonation, dry finish.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at WoSF, 2013. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is strongly menthol notes, herbal, ice-tea, wheat, peach, nectarine, wood and earth. The taste is lemon, ice-tea, tart granny smith apple, hay, wood and home-made lemonade with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty unusual...smells rather minty. Interesting, but far from their best!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
ivory white head that disappears quickly without lacing. cloudy straw-yellow colour. pronounced aroma that reminds me of a white/green mold on a spoiled orange. the taste is like the aroma but i would also add a dried up mandarin ends bitter followed by a wry aftertaste. medium carbonation. hmm although an interesting experience i can’t say i am a big fan of this edition. bottle 75 cl @ weekend der spontane gisting 2013

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ Cantillon, Brussels, shared with Inbreak and ej. Two Zwanzes in one day - this is better than Zwanze Day itself! :-D Pours a clear light golden body with a small white head. Aroma is mild horseblanket, wheat and cereals, hints of straw, grass and lemon. Taste is wheat, cereals, mild lemony tones and hints of horseblanket. Light body, high carbonation. Easy and pleasant drinking, with enough character to make it interesting as well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a cloudy light golden with a medium white head. Aroma of barnyard funk, some citrus zest, and some wild yeast. Flavour is quite wild tasting, with notes of brett, some mild white wine notes, wheat and light fruits. Not very lambic-like, which is a change for Cantillon, and One of the lightest beers they’ve done. Great stuff, but misses the complexity of many of their other beers.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thx to Jean at Moeder Lambic St-Gilles !
Head: small, white, foamy
Colour: very hazy blond
Smell: lots of wheats, a little bit of hops, decent sourness
Taste: wheats come first and blend over superbly with the sour and bitterness level of the beer, this is deff. beter than what i’ve expected of a "sour witbier" really nice !
