3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a clear golden color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy soft malt and wild yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour & sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The pour is a cloudy pale golden-orange color with a surprising amount of white head.
S: The nose is sort of odd, but I expected that from this beer. A blend of musty funk, green melon, and witbier spiciness. A surprising amount of malt character, though it’s of the soft and pale variety.
T: Everything about the flavor of this beer is mild; not at all that I expect from Cantillon. A subtle mix of spice, sweet malt, and very light lactic tartness. The funk is there, but it’s just sort of wet with a bit of a dusty cobweb feeling to it, though I don’t know how I would have ever tasted on before.
M: The body is light with a very soft and subtle carbonation.
D: I was sort of caught off-guard by this beer. While I’m aware of how this beer was brewed, I was expecting much more of the usual Cantillon lambic character to come through...perhaps with age.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared in London - many, many thanks to Colin for this doozy. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Decent snout, some tangy hay, spritely lemon. Light sweet with dried sweat, lemon rind, a bit of bitter hay. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, definitely some age, slight sugary wheat, old lemon, citrus rind. OK.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, Zwanze Day at Churchkey. Pours hazy gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is funky, sour grapes and apples, loads of phenols mixing it up, and light hay malt. The aroma is really complex. Flavor is sour grapes, light apple and pear notes, phenols and funky yeast dancing around, and straw and hay malt with a dry finish. Acidity is rather balanced in this beer. Light body, low warmth and carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle… Lightly hazed yellow ale with a small creamy white head. Good retention. The bouquet offers a fruity, funky mélange of lemon zest, mild barnyard and light clove. Medium-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor presents fruity lemon and funky acidity. A semblance of balance is provided by aged, spicy hops. Tart, tangy, dry finish. Quite wit-like. Nice. Drinkable. Thanks to landhoney for sharing this bottle!
