Bottle of Pineau D’Aunis at Cantillon. Pours a hazy reddish color with off-white head. Spicy Cabernet like grape aromas, with funk and tartness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a lot of spice, dry, and tart.

Bottle. Very fruity and sweet aroma with strawberry and raspberry and loads of red grape juice. Slightly hazy dark red under a lasting white collar. Slightly sweet grape juice quickly drying out and sour, but not crazy sour. Excellent balance. Light body, medium carbonation, bright and not mouth puckering.

Bottle at Cantillon as Pinaut d’Aunis. Clear light red with small pink head that leaves a nice ring of cute tiny bubbles. Red grapes, old strawberries, raspberry juice. Lots of wood, straw, funk, pee, chicory, bitter grape skins. Taste is medium sour with medium bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with soft sparkly carbonation. Nice stuff, pretty outspoken and not super fruity but it’s well balanced with the lambic. Great.

Bottle pour at the source. Pours a dark red with a pink head of foam. The head dissipates quickly. The beer smells like berry and funk. Fruity and wine like taste with a moderate to heavy tartness. The beer is awesome! I would love to have gotten one of these to bring back home.

Bottle at the source: short notes, too busy enjoying but here goes: Pours a clear purpleish / dark pink colour with a small head. The nose is farmy and mineral at the same time with deep berry aromas and even a little bubblegum. I felt the nose was spectacular here. Initially fresh tasting with a big acidic kick and like the Carignan some pinot noir tendencies. Love that! Gentle but present carbonation and a long and super pleassant aftertaste. Could drink this all day but Cantillon closes at 5pm...

Bottle to glass at the brewery, under the name Pinot d’Aunis. Pours a very pretty ruby red color with a light pinkish head. Nice sour grape character. A little sweetness. Solid beer, but not as good as some of the other Cantillon offerings.

Bottle at Cantillon 14th April 2015. Pours clear and a beautiful reddish pink, the aroma is vinous, hay, fruit, hops, complex. Taste is full, vinous fruit, some farmyard undertones, balanced not too astringent, yeast, long lingering bitter sour finish. Excellent beer
