This is a full bodied 10.5% ABV IMperial Stout with huge amounts of roasted malt. Its single hopped with Centennial. After fermentation it´s infused with SHG-Coffe from Las Delicias El Salvador from the Menendez family plantation 1600 m above the sea. This is an organic Single Estate coffe imported and roasted by the guys at Johan&Nyström just outside Stockholm.

Pours clear dark brown to black with low tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, muscovado. Milk chocolatey, actually. Taste is deep burnt, wood chips and coffee, some barrel notes. Lingering coffee and dark chocolate finish. Rich, creamy body.

Pours black with low tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, smoked german sausage, melasses. Taste is balanced sweet with hints of vanilla and bourbon, no hints of the smoke at first but in the finish it starts to build up. Creamy full body with soft carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (75cl). Black/very dark brown colour. Half-inch beige head, reduces slowly to a thick bubbly layer with a narrow band of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, lactose, coffee (also raw coffee beans), licorice, chocolate, alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Taste is quite sweet initially, then a bitterness akin to raw licorice takes over, before a mild acidity appears in the finish, which is also quite boozy. Great overall balance. Dry, lingering licorice/coffee aftertaste.

Black color with persistent beige head. The aroma shows too much coffee, burnt. Smooth and dry mouthfeel; good spicy sharp coffee flavor, although just a nit too ashy; strong bitterness.
Modern, very good.

0.75l bottle shared with my girlfriend. Well you expect a imp stout to be as good as black when it hits the glass, and this one is not way to far off being just that. It has a nice big and bubbly light brown gar-beige head on top. Loaded with coffee on the nose. Softly roasted with brown sugar, lots of milky sweet chocolate and a soft salty hint in the back. Smells really nice. It has a strong and really burned coffee flavor initially. Super punchy dark espresso coffee with dark cardboard, licorice and a really strong coffee bitterness as well. It has this thick and oily feeling in the mouth a deep it’s about average on the carbonation. Makes my mouth feel dark almost black a long while after the swallow. Really flavorful and tasty. 21.02.2014

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours pitch black with a big creamy tanned head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, coffee and resiny hops. Thick oily soy mouthfeel. Taste is hard roasted malts, light sweet, more coffee, some liquorice and tarish notes towards the light dry finish. Nice.

On tap at Crowbar. Black with a lacing beige head. Acidic coffee fills the nose and the mouth, good roast. Hints of chocolate as well. Very good and the coffee is exquisite.

Thought the coffee was way too overpowering, lacked finesse sad to say. As such a mediocre grade. On (guest)-tap @ Tröls in Malmö.

Black with light brown thin creamy and sticky head with bit lacing. Medium strong aroma has ash, light coffee, slightly roasted malt. Good coffee flavor, dry and bitterish roast, full body and soft feel, lots taste for a long finish, also sweet licorice notes as warms. Looks and smells nice are flavors are nuanced and pure, balanced enjoyment!
