On tap @ GIBF, great great DIPA from a brewer that needs to step up. This needs to be their flagship beer. great citrus and pine taste but not overbearing, good alcohol content for a DIPA but is very smooth, great job.

Draft. Pours golden orange with a white head. Big tropical fruity aroma with piney hops. The flavor has citrus, tropical fruits, light pine, and pale malts. Bitterness and sweetness are well balanced. Good stuff.

I finallu got to try this after missing it on tap three times. Oh yeah, tap @ Barcade. Poured a slightly hazed copper with a small off-white head. Citrus hop forward with some a fruity malt base. Some pine. The flavor is cirtusy with some foral and pine notes. The sweetness fades leaving a long bitterness. Good warmth with little alcohol taste. Medium bodied and very nice.

Draught at Blind Tiger. Plenty of hops but plenty of malt, too. The citrus and earthy hops are well balanced by the caramel malts. I wouldn’t call this a hop bomb but it is a real nice beer. The abv is well hidden, too. Could have a few of these.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pastor (776) - Skowhegan, Maine, USA - APR 19, 2009
I grabbed a growler of this the other day and cracked it four day’s later.
Poured into a Weizen glass it had a minimal white head that settled to a sparse lace. The body of the brew was a clear copper in color with some red hints to it.
The aroma of hopes is very present I could tell there was some simcoe in it. Nice and floral very pleasant in the nose department. Flavor wise this is a very well balanced brew. There is enough hops bitter to know it is an IPA but with enough malt sweetness to make it easy to drink and at 9% it maybe dangerous. The brew had a medium feel in the mouth a little syrupy with the lack of carbonation. I will say that maybe it is the growler the sample I had on tap was more carbonated.
This is a good brew from a little underrated brewery. I will defiantly head back to pick up a few more of their offerings

(Draft @ brewpub) Served in a heavy goblet. Very hazy orange-amber with barely a wisp of head. Very big citrus aroma, nice and fresh. Palate is medium-heft, lightly prickly. Flavor of big citrus and lighter pine over a sweet caramel malt base. Big bitter hoppy bite in finish but there is an odd note in the finish as well.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skeegle (566) - Maryland, USA - JAN 30, 2010
Somewhat of a dirty IIPA, this one was muddy looking and the hops were not crisp or fresh tasting, but they were great nonetheless and extremely biting and drew out the mouth water in the corner of the cheeks. Sort of like a chalky IIPA, if that makes sense. Lots of citrus and pine everywhere in this one. Definitely liked it.

Tap at Barcade: Pours a beautiful murky reddish orange with a spotty white head. The nose shows some earthy hop leaf, sticky sweet resins, honey and overripe mango. Has a sweet flavor, yet a decent hop character. Mild ripe mango hints along with some honeyish sweetness. A bit earthy with an unfiltered feel to it and a late sweet citrus touch. The finish is slightly resiny. This stuff reminds a bit of Super Kitty from Keegan. A bit too sweet, but has a decent profile.

Thanks to JoeMcPhee for sharing this with me at Barcade. Color is clear orange with a small head. Aroma is all hoppy; sweet and green with faint cat pee. Taste is a bit sticky sweet from the hops and some other cheap sugars. Bitterness is hidden by the sweetness but too much of a trade off. Thick and sticky mouthfeel as well. Pint pour @ Barcade.
