(Draft @ brewpub) Dark brown with small tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Crappy mouthfeel - fizzy, thin, wooden and dryish. Lifeless flavor of bitter chocolate. Not impressive.

On draft at Jacob Wirth. Another beer during the EBF weekend that I didn’t take proper notes on, however I do recall tasting little to no oyster in this bad boy, which is fine by me.

Draft. Pours black with a thin beige head. Roasty and earthy aroma with coffee notes. The flavor has coffee, roasted malts, earth, a light sweetness, and smoke. Nice.

Draft at the brewpub. Reddish-black. Predominately roasty and sweet with a bitter finish. Prototypical dry stout, although without distinction. Like it with the coffee better. (#4230, 8/24/2011)

Drank from the tap at the Stag’s Head in NYC. Pours a mildy dark brown with a smoky molasses aroma. Taste is roasted malt up front, with an almost salty, watery, thin finish.
