3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Guerde (1073) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - NOV 29, 2008(bottle, courtesy of beerbill) Pours dark brown/black with an off-white head that leaves nice lacing. This is quite an enigmatic beer. The aroma at first smells like a run of the mill overly roasted stout, with a lot of smoke, dark roasted coffee, and dry cocoa, but none of the pumpkin is detectable. With some warming, the pumpkin finally begins to show up, but it’s very faint. The taste is somewhat similar to the aroma in that it begins very roasty, with some dark chocolate, salt, and coffee coupled with a light bitterness. The roast is teetering towards being offensive, but this amazing baked pumpkin finish comes in and makes this beer very memorable. The finish just really impressed me, and there’s this unique interplay of flavors between the roast and pumpkin, which pairs quite well with the lowly carbonated, smooth mouthfeel. This would make for a great fall session beer, and it’s even more enjoyable coupled with some pumpkin pie. Thanks Bill!

Pours a dark black color with a white soapy head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and pumpkin spice. Light sweet caramel taste with notes of vanilla. Some pumpkin spice underneath. Not great.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Imaena (841) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 28, 2012
Draught. This was way over spiced and pumpkin infused for my taste. It was like a mouthful of pumpkin pie spices, canned pumpkin, and dry stout.

Dark walnut brown with a thick mocha head. Aroma of chocolate. Flavor of chocolate and roast and possibly a little spice. I didn’t really taste much pumpkin, but not bad.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 j12601 (5569) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin beige head. Smells of pumpkin puree straight from the can, a touch of roast and cocoa. Medium bodied, roast and cocoa. A little bit astringent, a bit of roast. Finishes with a bit of burnt pumpkin. Nice roast and a bit of yeast.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (8954) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Bottle from Half Time. Pours very dark ruddy brown with a head so transient I didn’t really note it. Mixed aromas of pie spice and coffee. Full bodied. Moderate carb. Flavor is very smooth dark burnt malt with some coffee and pie spice. Hints of veg/squash. No single flavor is overpowering, but I’m getting: pie spice, coffee, burnt malt, chocolate, veg. Very well done.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 EithCubes (4193) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Bottle, miniscule nose. Dark dark brown with a short-lived light brown head. Mild cocoa and loose porter/stout flavor, nothing in the way of roast or tar/ashen flavors. Gently crisp medium body does have a nice inky/malty texture. Enjoyable enough as a well-made mild stout [alcohol is utterly hidden!], but no sign of pumpkin or pumpkin pie spices.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bricks (456) - Delaware, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Very dark appearance, thin white head. Pumpkin and related spices at first and some coffee on the second whiff. Taste is of pumpkin, coffee and something a little "off" -- like paper. This is almost exactly like a Brewer’s Best beer I made.. pumpkin spice porter. Not bad.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 keanex (785) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - OCT 29, 2012
No bottling information.
A: Pitch black body with a thin tan head with poor retention, looks great while the head is there though.
S:The aroma is prominently pumpkin and spices, nutmeg and cloves come to mind, but this actually smells like pumpkin, not just the spices. There’s a light chocolate in the back with vanilla, this smells pretty good.
T: The base of this seems a bit plain, light roasted malts and that’s about it, there’s light nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and pumpkin as well. The flavors are blended well though.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation.
O: This is a pretty interesting beer that’s done well, I wasn’t expecting much but this is how I feel the style should taste.

Aroma is pumpkins, spices and a hint of roasted malts. The flavor is pumpkins, spices, fruit, a hint of roasted malts and some acidity in the finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jbardin (161) - New York, USA - OCT 18, 2012
On cask at barcade, poured out of a pumpkin. Interesting gimmick, but the beer is meh.
