COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Taking a cue from a home brew recipe from Mr. Jumpers Home Brew club, we gave it our own spin and came up with the Sunrise Saison. Our first foray into Belgian styles of beer, saisons were pale ales originally brewed in the farmhouses of Wallonia, the French speaking region of Belgium. Giving it our own twist, we’ve added 150 lbs of rhubarb and 250 lbs of whole strawberries. The result is a light pink hue and flavors that wonderfully compliment the natural tartness of a traditional saison.
Malts: Pale, White wheat, Vienna, Acidulated
Hops: Nugget

Bottle at a Salem bar. Nice light aroma with hints of strawberry. Big too-old strawberry presence in the taste, with some vegetable bitterness. Nicer aroma than flavor, lovely mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled at Basque, Gothenburg. Clear pale golden, small head. Aroma of bubblegum and artificial strawberry. Super sweet, sloppy body. Butter and esters. Just one of those beers where not a single parameter is right.

@ munken i Norrköping. Svagt lukt av jordgubb. Saison smaken försvinner lite. Rabarbern kommer i eftersmaken.

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Skövde. Somewhat hazy orange/copper beer with a small offwhite head. Malty rubber aroma, caramel, raisins, perfume notes, peach, grapes and pear notes. Fruity flavor, honey, caramel, pear, grapes, hay, peach notes, sweetish and not very true to the style. Malty sweetish fruity finish.

smells like strawberry ice cream though you can detect the Belgian qualities nice aroma..has that pale yellow saison background but a little more amber and red than usual thin pure white head..tastes like a pretty good saison with over the top fruit flavors..interesting twist on things but not the smoothest blend..feels like it should light and smooth on the palate tingly carbonation..overall a nice dessert or nightcap beer but I wouldn’t want to do a six pack of them it’s a good idea just not well balanced between the saison and the fruitiness..probably would’ve been better as a straight up saison

Bottle. Nose of dusty pale malt and a little strawberry-rhubarb action. Lightly hazy golden with a steady stream of carbonation and a rocky white head. Taste is tart and sweet, strawberries and rhubarb but they’re both about equal with the lemony-peachy base. No big spice here, neither from addition nor from the yeast, save a very faint peppery character, and so the style transgression marks this as more of a fruit beer and less of a saison; yet the fruitiness is simply beautiful, very fresh and natural, as if a bit of puree had been added to every bottle. Does not cloy, no sense of alcohol at all, medium body a little slimy, but balanced and refreshing and really a juicy treat!

12oz bottle. Large white head that leaves nice lacing atop hazy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, strawberry, some spicy. Taste is moderately sweet, strawberry, some bubblegum, light spicy/pepper. Light-medium body, light stickiness. Much more a fruit beer than a saison.
