Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a glossy red color with a decent transparency about it. Streams of carbonation were seen rising. Bar pour yielded a film of a white head, barely any lacing. The smell had a toasted caramel to toffee blend in front of a light coffee and then a light bitter piney hops in the background. The taste was moderately sweet with a drawing bitterness trying to come out here and there. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed to be good for the style and to me as there’s a decent smoothness but still allowing a light sharpness over my tongue. Overall, I say this was a good Amber/Red ale I’d probably have again.

Enjoyed this brew recently on tap while on vacation on the cape. It was better than expected. Nice balance, malty but with a slight bite with a fragrant nose and medium color. Nice brew!

On tap at then brewery. Cellar light amber pour with an off white head. Malty aromas. Pleasant malty notes with a hint of citrus hop bitterness. Not overly complex but solid. Average body and mouthfeel.

Draft at Cooke’s seafood on vacation. Pour has a mostly brown color with a bit of red highlights. Aroma has malts, light hops, and light bitterness. Mouth feel is medium light with good carbonation. Flavor is typical red malt, decent dose of hops, and a clean finish with light bitterness.

Growler. Pours a clear brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, toffee, light roasted nuts. Flavor of rich caramel malt, roasted malt, roasted nuts, light charred malt, bitter earthy hops. Overall a roasted, malty red ale with a nice full body. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)
