I have found this at several pubs and restaurants in the mid-cape area (Barnstable Tavern, Scargo Cafe, Chapins). This beer has a deep amber color, is clear, pours with a fairly small but creamy head. It starts off with a taste like Bass Ale but has a more hoppy, spicy followthrough. Carbonation and body is just right. This is a great beer, would be nice to know if is available in bottles.

On tap at the Lobster Pot in P-Town. Came in with only minor lacing around the glass. However, the aroma is nice and the flavor is good any malty with low to moderate carbonation. A very smooth drinking amber. Just my thing! - I can’t wait to get down to the area again to pick up some more.

(Rating #3890)

Location: I’ve had this one at quite a few different restaurants/bars around Cape Cod over the years, this rating is from a draft I had on 10/6/09 at a restaurant in Hyannis

Aroma: A nice toasted malty and caramel nose
Appearance: Pours a nice dark amber color
Flavor: Tasty mostly malt, light hop flavor
Palate: Smooth, medium body, easy drinking
Overall Impression: I think this one is a pretty nice draft red that I try to have at least once or twice every time I make it down to the Cape.

Draft on the cape. A nice hoppy beer. Pours a nice reddish color. Very easy to drink when cold, gets a little to bitter as it gets warm.

My Bottom Line:
This clean and nourishing Amber Ale develops chewy caramelized and toasted cereals atop minutious wooden hops and their whispering bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the dark red.
-The malt profile is this beer’s best asset, imho.
-Light fruity esters roam within.
-This is very drinkable; Québécois beer lovers would liken it to the best generic "Rousse" ales around the province.

On tap in West Yarmouth.

Pours a maple brown/red with a white head that collars. Lots of sweet malt on the aroma. Malt in the forefront gives way to a balance of malt and earthy hops. Mouthfeel is zesty carbonation.

(tap)A nice looking amber ale. I tasted some sort of tree nut in the taste. It smelled of turtle candy, with chocolate caramel and pecans.

Growler. Pours clear mahogany with a thick and fluffy off-white head. Medium body and carbonation. Herbal hop aroma. Nutty malt taste with a dash of butterscotch. Lingering pine finish.

Solid beer. Not very complex but nice hops that are balanced on the palate.
