COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Winner of Best IPA at the 2012 Atlantic City Beer Festival! Intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness; this beer is strongly hopped and clean, lacking harshness and a tribute to historical IPAs. The citrusy centennial hop was used generously as you can imagine.

Draft. Pours a hazy amber/orange with no head but nice lacing. Aroma is heavy floral and pine with hints of grass mixed in. Thinner than expected with some light malt upfront but then a string hoppy bitterness at the end. Made a great pair for my burger at the Ugly Mug in Cape May, NJ but otherwise unremarkable and indistinguishable from other IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Ugly Mug. Pours golden orange with a white head. Fruity hops, moderate bitterness, light sweet malts, and a slightly astringent bitterness in the finish. Not bad, I guess.

aroma was a big turn off-worty malts/honey with a bit of pine and boiled hop stems - looks nicely cloudy - flavor much better than aroma - bigger malt presence than described, but with a smooth honey background - hops are lower than average bitterness but not pungent or sappy just a bit of smooth pine , hint of muted citrus, melon rind and bitter earthiness - maybe old buds - and really kinda one dimensional hop wise - a very enjoyable and smooth hoppy beer, great palate, but there are much better ipas out there PS-I cant imagine how this won best ipa with what carton and kane put out

Draft at the brewery in December. Poured a mostly clear bright orange with a smaller foamy bright white head. Aroma was not good by any means, rotting fruit and vomit dominate. Flavor somehow was worlds better, notes of grapefruit, fresh hop cones, grains, citrus rind. This could be a really great beer if the aroma were different.

Growler courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours light orange with a fingers worth of white head. Little bit of lace. Juicy, fruity aroma featuring orange, mango and grapefruit. Bitter, hoppy flavor balanced ever so nicely with a caramel malt backbone. Full bodied with a bitter aftertaste. Nice, thanks John.

a bit less character than I expect from a typical dipa.. But it is average in the category

Big thanks to Andrew (eelbasher) for sharing this in the Locals 5.5! Pours orange gold. Just a trace of white head left. Aroma is nice pineapple and flowers. Taste is pale malt overpowered by sour grapefruit. Not bad, but the balance isn’t quite where I’d like it.

A growler from the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin white head. The aroma is malty sweet with some bread and a bit of fruit. The flavor is very nice, bitter with citrus with enough sweetness to balance. The finish is very dry and refreshing.
