COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong India Pale Ale (IPA). The beer emphasizes the hop aroma and flavor white muting the hop bitterness. Loaded with Cascade hops that provide Floral and citrus notes. It’s called India Pale Ale because it was a hoppier, more alcoholic version of the typical ale shipped to British troops in India in the 1800s. Turns out that hops and alcohol are a great preservative.

Appearance: clearish orange, with a bright white head. Aroma: marmalade, blood orange, grapefruit. Taste: malt of light, sweet graham cracker, hops are citrus and light pine. Finish: slightly astringent and mineral, with floral bitterness. Notes: On tap at the brewery. Middle of the road IPA. Most beers from Cape May seem to have a slight mineral tone on the finish which can be just slightly detracting from the overall experience.

This wasn’t a bad beer! The color was really nice along with the flavor...I personally would drink it again...and I have a closet full of Heady Topper, Lawson’s, Three Floyd’s, and Gandhi- Bot...etc. Not bad CAPE MAY!

Sample at brewery. Pours medium gold/copper with a small white head. Aromas of light caramel, some pine, and some citrus. Flavor is light...some floral hops and a touch of citrus rind. Eh middle of the road IPA.

Draft at the brewery with Linh, Scarlett and mom. Pours a deep amber body with thin white lacing. Aroma is light overall - bright hop and lots of spice. Mouthfeel is medium with the spice character mostly dominating and a metallic flavor in the finish. Disappointing after trying the promising pale ale.

Hazed amber with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, caramel, and light floral hops. Taste of bitter, grassy hops, more caramel, and finishing with an unpleasant raw hop bitterness. Sweet (again), yet bitter and just all over the place.

Sample at brewery..final tasting of the bunch. Not very much exciting going on here. Thought this would be much better after seeing something that this got an award at the ac beer festival. Not much aroma or carbonation. Called an ipa but in description at brewery regarded as a pale ale. Not really a noticeable hop presence in taste. Tasted like a very bland and dull American pale ale. For those who claim this is a session beer, I just don’t think so..not a fan of this..

Pour is hazy amber with a decent sized white head. Aroma is of great floral hops with a slight sweetness in the background. The taste is a lot more sweet forward than a normal IPA but still finishes with a great bitterness.
