Clear golden color with a big white head. Malt aroma. There was some hop flavor. Pretty close to water.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - OCT 12, 2003
When poured into my glass, the head was small in size with a white hue and it consisted of fine-small bubbles that quickly dissipated. The body was carbonated and hazy with a yellow-gold hue. The nose was malty, sweet, and fruity. The flavor was sweet and fruity tasting wtih a smooth, thin, watery texture and it was light bodied. Not a beer that I particulary cared for by this brewer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 29, 2003
This brew poured a medium sized head of fine to large sized white colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing and a carbonated straw yellow colored body. The aroma was a very nice very of the standard malt hop nose. Its mouthfeel was smooth and mildly crisp. The flavor contained elements of malt, hops, wheat and barley.

Amber in color with a small fizzy head. Aroma is sweet with hop notes. Flavor is bland but unofensive. Not bad
2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 TheDean (785) - MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 19, 2003
This is the MG of capital brewery...just an average beer. If you have the choice between a 6er of this and a 12er of Jacobs Best Light, go with the JBL.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 kujo9 (1085) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2003
Lasting white head over a golden body. Aromas are of grainy malt and a light corn, but I'm hoping it's the use of corn instead of DMS; Also a light hop aroma, otherwise it's got a pretty clean overall aroma as a pre prohibition pilsner should. Very well balanced but has a little hop flavor toward the finish; starts out slightly malty but quickly turns dry but not bitter. Ther is a little hop flavor in the aftertaste along with the same corn flavor, but it's very subtle, yet noticeable. Higher carbonation and slightly heavier than light m/f add to the enjoyment. This is very much more flavorful than your typical American style pilsner and I think they've done a pretty good job with a somewhat defunct style. Thankfully some breweries haven't forgotten how American Pilsners should be made. For what it's worth, this is a very good beer. Not a lot of complexity, but very drinkable in most circumstances.

Golden color with minimal head and some lacing. Malty aroma and fruity, like apricot. Sweet and malty flavor, citrusy with a hint of hops. Short dryish finish.

Clear amber, small white head. Slightly malty, medium sweet nose with a kiss of hops. Light flavor, malt dominated, hint of bitterness. Reasonably full mouthfeel.
