COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After researching brewing styles from the turn of the last century, Capital has created an outstanding, mild, American-style beer. This pilsner beer comes from an old Wisconsin recipe, circa 1900, and has a smoothness that the big beer companies will envy.

I like this beer. Pale gold in color. Aroma is malt with a hint of citrus. Very crisp. Taste is clean/malt. Finish is dry.

Sweet malty flavor mixed with slight hop bitterness blends almost perfectly together in this excellent beer.Thick long lasting head stays throughout the glass with lacing all the way down.Golden in color. Wonderful carbonation. This is great beer.

Nice golden color. Impressive head longevity for a pils. Leaves rings of lace with each sip. Faint aroma, maybe a touch of sweetness. Front is crisp with carbonation. An unfortunate but faint metallic flavor sneaks its way in but is all but gone in a split second. Suprisingly full mouthfeel. Some doughy notes come out in the finish.

Very much a pilsener, in look, aroma and taste. no head retention however. pale golden body. lots of tiny bubbles. Sweet malty nose with subdued hops and a floral overtone. Light and refreshing, citrus hints on the tongue, truly refreshing, but certainly nothing to write home about. Surprisingly big mouthfeel due to the good malt presence.

This brew had the misfortune of following Hair of the Dog Rose on my sample list. Nose that barely hints at malt and hops. Light yellow, frothy white head with good lacing diminishes quickly. Bland but balanced flavor. Thin watery body that is lively and finishes clean. Easily forgettable.

Clear golden color with really not much of a head. Dry malt aroma. Dry start with a nice sweet flavor hops. Rather nice malt finish. An enjoyable lager.

Nice golden color with a thick long lasting head. No noticable aroma. Pretty bland.
