COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After researching brewing styles from the turn of the last century, Capital has created an outstanding, mild, American-style beer. This pilsner beer comes from an old Wisconsin recipe, circa 1900, and has a smoothness that the big beer companies will envy.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2004 The finest example of an American style pilsener ever! Pours the color of grapefruit with a thick foamy head, nice bubbles - not too much - perfect. Lacing = great. Very sweet smelling, but not too sweet, seems to strike a delicate balance. Nice full mouthfeel, flavor is quite complex for a pilsener; an initial saccharine astringency develops into piquant tang. Good stuff.

Yellow, huge white head. Mild aroma of hops. Not much taste, but some sweet malt and corn is there. Very smooth, but this is in exchange for flavor and body. An ok beer, but lots of better options from Capital.

Brite golden pale yellow color. A slight hint of vanilla in the aroma, like a fine single malt scotch. Crisp malt flavor. Clean finish. A very drinkable beer. Actually seems to be what most folk think of as beer or more to the point "Lager". Next time some one tells me they don't like the flavor of beer, I think I will use this to illustrate that beer doesn't have to taste bad.

Opaque deeper golden color. Medium thickness white head. Faint wheaty aroma. Wet palate throughout. Medium bodied flavor. Starting with the faintest hint of banana and spice progressing to the 50/50 malty, hoppy flavor of a quality pilsner. Finishes moderately bitter with a floral faintness. Not a bad brew for the price I paid. Would make a nice summer brew.

Bottle pours a clear amber yellow with small head and some lace. The aroma is of malt and dusty hops. The flavor is malty, lightly hoppy, and with a lingering sweetness. The palate is nice enough, with good cleansing feel. Overall, not bad.

Nice medium golden color, small white head that faded quick but left a slight lace behind. The aroma was malty and possibly light hint of caramel, semi sweet with hops.Nice light malty taste with a slight lemony side and spice coming through.I'd almost say it has a pumpkin ale quality, minus the pumpkin.Maybe i'm just dreaming. The hops are nicely done making this a very nice drinking brew and quite tasty, and at $1.19/bot you can't go wrong.Well worth trying again now if i was only smart enough to have picked up a sixer instead of a single.

Pours cloudy yellow-orange (tiny particulates visible) with a thin off-white head. Has a grassy, slightly spicy hops aroma. Rather zesty flavor of grassy, floral hops and just a touch of fruity malt. Thin-bodied but nicely carbonated. Average.

Appearance: Light golden, a bit cloudy, with a lot of white, fluffy head. Smell: not very strong... and the smell that is there just smells like average beer Tatse: a bit on the bland side, with a very bitter metallic taste afterwards. Mouthfeel: a little on this thin side, though I feel the carbonation bubbling itself back up my thorat after I sawllow. Drinkable: sure, it's drinkable, but why bother when there's so much better out there?
