Its a pretty brew, but the aroma was simple malt the taste was a sugary sweetness with a ponderous mouthfeel. Too sweet and thick for me

Bottle from Santa, sampled some time ago. Clear pale golden colored with a small, fast fading white head. Aroma is a bit lackluster. Light sweet malt with just a hint of earthy hops. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Pretty typical pale lager flavor for malt, a touch more hops than expected, moderately earthy. Fair.

Bottle. Rusty yellow body. Taste is like cereal and malt mixed with a touch of vinegar. There is a sourness to this thats is good, but I don’t know if it belongs.

Pours a clear golden orange color. Aroma is sweet and malty with some apples. Flavor is smooth, very sweet. Uneventful.

It’s an okay Pilsener, good warm weather fare, but nothing special. Thick and golden with lively carbonation and a bubbly white head, this... Wait. The head and carbonation are gone. Anyway, this has a sweet malt aroma, the hops not really being present in the nose. Smooth to drink, it’s continues with the sweet malt in the flavor and adds a drop of lemon juice. The hops finally emerge in the finish, lightly floral and herbal. Okay, but not worth the six-pack price.

Deep yellow color with a large white head. Bready, sweet malty aroma. Sweet malt continues in the flavor. Very little hops, disappointing in a pilsner. Smooth finish. Respectable, well made beer, but Capital makes much better - like the soon to be released Autmnal Fire.

Bottled. Poured a clear, bright golden with a dense cap of white head. Nose was heavily bready with hints of lemon and other sweet malts. Flavor is certainly on the sweeter side with syrupy dough, lemonheads, light veggie, and light floral bitterness. Smooth malts, but the hops are a bit clunky in creating their bitterness. Lighter-bodied. Veggies and a solid dose of uber-sweet malts at the finish. This was drinkable, but powerfully average.

Beer poured a nice gold color. Formed a nice white bubbly head that subsided and left some nice lace. An aroma of hops and lemon. It had a tast of hops and lemon. Light finish. An alright beer, but there are better pilsners out there.

Large head and a rather strange shade of brown. A subtle hint of something that might have been complexity, but it was really too faint to tell, it might have just been skunky.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Frank (2058) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 20, 2003
Nice golden color. Impressive head longevity for a pils. Leaves rings of lace with each sip. Faint aroma, maybe a touch of sweetness. Front is crisp with carbonation. An unfortunate but faint metallic flavor sneaks its way in but is all but gone in a split second. Suprisingly full mouthfeel. Some doughy notes come out in the finish.
