COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While being a mild pilsner style beer, Bavarian Lager is our version of a clasic German "Helles" style of beer from Bavaria. Bavarian Lager is pale golden colored with a nice hop character over-laying mellow malt flavor.

This one’s allright. got some biscuity-ness in the malt content and some nice citrusy hops goin’ on too. ’not bad for a lager’ - that sums it up!

Very good for a lager, which are usually pretty terrible. Nice hops and a good finish.

I remember picking this one up thinking ’Great, another Lager’. I was pleasantly surprised that this beer had a nice hops presence and a decent aftertaste. According to the description it is a Helles, which makes more sense. Why not call it a Helles if it tastes like one? Either way, it is a better than average Lager if that is what they are calling it.

Light golden color with a frothy white head. Slight DMS in the aroma along with noble hops. Mild malt and a touch to bitter for style. Quite average.

The beer pured a gold color and formed a nice white foamy head that left some nice lace. An arom of hoops and citrus with a flavor of hops. The finish was pretty light. As helles styles go, I think this one is a bit weak.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2003 Toasty, herbal, doughy, and spicy aroma. Dense and creamy head with good stick. Ample carbonation. Malt is dominant throughout with a touch of spicy hops to clean things up. Finishes clean and bready.

A nice smooth clean lager. Shows some honey and clean german hop profile. Confusingly there are more hops in this beer than there were in the Capital Pilsener. Regardless this is a top quality lager.
