This unfiltered ale is brewed with wheat, spices and citrus which are accentuated by the bright grapefruit flavor and aroma of Amarillo hops. Don’t let it’s pale color fool you, it’s scary good.

pours a hazy straw gold with a thick frothy white head. Aroma is light lemon citrus. Taste is bright, sweet at first then ever so slightly bitter. Fairly clean finish with a tiny bit of bitter linger. A nice, sessionable IPA. Good beer!

Bottle. A murky orange with a small head. Aroma was citrus with a grapefruit flavor. Mellow bitterness for an IPA.

A typical release from Capital Brewing continues to demonstrate their flexibility. On par with a umber of other white IPAs, this deserves a singles purchase if you like exploring what the Midwestern take on this emerging style has evolved into.

Aroma / Appearance - A golden base absorbs light like a light champagne complete with bubbly carbonation. Yeasty white pepper, light pleasant hops, coriander, and lemon give this a pleasant spring feel.

Flavor / Palate - A light salty bitterness morphs into dry yeast and white custard. Summery and spicy, it provides a full experience from start to finish. I’m not sure I would want a six pack around but if I still lived in Madison the occasional draft on a hot summer day would be very refreshing.

A citruscy iPa with a hoppy finish slightly wheaty flavor. Pours a cloudy yellow color with white head smells wheaty and hoppy

Tap at Old Fashioned. Unfiltered amber-orange cream. Decent, kind of thin. Cheap ingredients a la Capital. Not really bad or off, just cheap and unimpressive. Definitely not worth a premium bomber price. Messy White IPA.

Bottle, thanks George999! Citrusy, wheat aroma with a bit of spice and no indication of hops whatsoever. Pours hazy golden colored with a thin white head and a little bit of lacing. Starts like a wheat ale with wheat (obviously) and lemony citrus. Finishes dry with light spice and a bit of a grapefruit citrus bitter hop bite at the very end with the acidity of the grapefruit sticking to the palate. Very good white ipa.

Smooth citrus flavor with a burst of hops. Nice fruit undertones that blend well.

Bottle. Pours murky pale amber, medium off white head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is caramel, citrus, floral. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, a bit spicy citrus, orange zest, caramel, coriander; a bit odd actually. Grains of paradise? Medium to full body.
