On tap at the Peninsula Pub in Peninsula Center, Door County WI. Poured to a mug a light, hazy golden hue, with fair, white foam and lacing. The aroma was light grain with a grassy nature. The flavor was initially a fleeting acetic hint, with some wheat and subtle hop bitterness. The body was light with lively carbonation, finishing crisp and slightly dry. Decent and quaffable.

hazy yellow, small white head, quite lacy. nose of sweet malt, grain, fruit. sweet malt flavor with a touch of graininess and some citrus fruit. watery mouth feel, dry finish. i thought this one was too weak and watery, but at least there was very little banana in it (until it began to warm and i began to detect banana). single bottle purchase from binny’s orland park.

Pours a cloudy yellow with little remaining head. No lacing after a while. Lemony aroma, but only slightly noticeable. Had both this and a special brew of this that had a little more spice in it. An average brew, good for a summer day like today.

Good beer. It’s easy and fairly enjoyable to drink. Nothing special, considering the price tag. Not much bang for your buck.

Capital is hyped quite a bit in my area yet this is the first beer I’ve had from them. Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Nice amount of thick white head about a half inch high. Golden straw color with moderate cloudiness. The smell of this beer was very inviting. A light yeasty/wheat fragrance with a bit of citrus. I really enjoy the taste of this beer. I’m a fan of wheat beers in general. It’s very smooth and has such a pleasant flavor. There’s a hint of fruit with a nice malty backend. This beer dances nicley on your tongue then washes down easy. Overall a nice session beer for my taste. I will be picking up more of these.

Pours a cloudy golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma is fruity with wheat and yeast. Very light with flavors including fruits, banana, lemon, and citrus, more wheat and yeast, and light hints of honey and spices. Rather mediocre.

Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a creamy 1 finger head that has decent retention. Aroma is wheat, raw yeast, lots of tart fruity notes, green tree bark, copper and a little lemon; almost smells infected. Flavor is lots of wheat throughout, a little toasted grain, sourdough, spicy yeast and some citrus, doesn’t taste infected at all, weird. Palate is thin highly carbonated and slightly chalky-dry, after the odd fizzy, slick entry that is. This is a strange wheat ale. Good, I suppose, for the style, once you get past the strange aroma.
