Draft. Nose is nutty with a boozy overtone. Dark brown with a light tan head. Taste is light chocolate with an immediate alcohol warming. Really warming. Overall ok but Iím not impressed with the base beer and the rum doesnít add much more than booze. Not complex but drinkable.

(bomber) Iíve rated these seasonal Capital bombers pretty poorly, but due to the concept of this particular beer coupled with the reasonable pricing for a BA treatment, I was prompted to purchase with understandably lowered expectations. Pours a cola brown color with a tan head that disappears quite quickly (like cola). Aroma also has a cola vibe going on with it, but itís mixed in with some vanilla which reminds me a lot of that failed Vanilla Coke experiment. Iím not saying this is a bad thing as it smells fairly pleasant, but it certainly foreshadows the intense sweetness Iím sure to experience once I drink it. More decadent scents of candied nuts and what I imagine is rum. Little cocoa too. Flavor also continues the cola vibe (rum and coke?) right off the bat before transitioning to a little toasty malt/dark chocolate/oak/vanilla mash up which lingers on the finish. Dark cherry flashes in here as well. Doesnít quite get too cloying, which is an accomplishment as the other two Cap bomb seasonals were cloyed to the max. Mouthfeel is thinner than expected and carbonation is a touch too high.

This is very good! Pours with a reddish tinge to a brown cola color. Good foam at first pour, slight lingering but not great. Not a heavy rum flavor but slight aroma of dark fig/dates/molasses. Very smooth malty flavor with a hint of whiskey woody goodness with drying sour finish. Different in a good way and I like it.

Deep brown. Nose of fruity rim, molasses, and toasted malt. Flavor is light fruity rum, molasses, brown sugar, toasted malt, and light chocolate/roasted malt. Fairly sweet but not bad.

Sampled at esbls. Infected. So fruity. Grape jelly but not purpke grapes. Not a brown anymore. Quite sweet. Not bad, actually.

Sample at Cock & Bull Pub in Sarasota. Pours a clear mahogany color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of butter rum, caramel and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of rum, vanilla, molasses and malt. The finish is sweet with a rum and vanilla aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a small frothy white head. The aroma is sweet candy, caramel, raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet raisin and caramel.

This is horrible. This is a butterscotch bomb on every level. The aroma/flavor are nothing but butterscotch, folks butterscotch in beer is bad.

22oz bomber courtesy if cbfobes via free beer week!! Pours a dark brown color with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet rum, oak, and butter. Taste of roasted and toasted malts, buttered popcorn, boozy rum, oak, some sourness, and caramel.

Dark body with minimal head. Very grainy bread like aroma. Some alcohol smell. Sour taste. Was not expecting that. Some alcohol taste. Minimal flavor imparted by the barrel. It?s ok.
