Pours a dak amber, clear, with a thin beige head. Very sweet on the nose and starts out sweet and some fruitiness with a smooth mouthfeel. Slight bitterness on the swallow, which provides a nice little zp to the finish. Can smell and taste the rum aging, which is very pleasant to me. Like it and would have again.

Sampled at esbls. Infected. So fruity. Grape jelly but not purpke grapes. Not a brown anymore. Quite sweet. Not bad, actually.

Sample at Cock & Bull Pub in Sarasota. Pours a clear mahogany color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of butter rum, caramel and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of rum, vanilla, molasses and malt. The finish is sweet with a rum and vanilla aftertaste. Decent overall.

This is horrible. This is a butterscotch bomb on every level. The aroma/flavor are nothing but butterscotch, folks butterscotch in beer is bad.

22oz bomber courtesy if cbfobes via free beer week!! Pours a dark brown color with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet rum, oak, and butter. Taste of roasted and toasted malts, buttered popcorn, boozy rum, oak, some sourness, and caramel.

Dark body with minimal head. Very grainy bread like aroma. Some alcohol smell. Sour taste. Was not expecting that. Some alcohol taste. Minimal flavor imparted by the barrel. It?s ok.

650ml bottle. On the thinner side, extra boozy, tartness, rum booziness, not great.

Bomber. Poured clear burgundy with a short-lived yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up lots of sweet, strong rum notes, caramel, and molasses with vanilla and charred oak accents.. some tanginess to it, but the sweet stuff was overpowering. The flavor followed those same lines.. very sweet caramel, toffee, molasses, rum, and vanilla at the core with peppery alcohol, oak, and tangy vinous notes around.. finished fairly acidic, but again with lots of sweet stuff. Medium-bodied and a bit cloying on the palate.. there were some good flavors in there, but it was heavy-handed and hard to drink.

Aroma is malts, fruit and rum/liquor funk. The flavor is malts, fruit, berries, rum funk and a tart and slightly alcoholic finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear nice looking ruby reddish mahogany brown. Small wispy tan head, leaving lasting ring around glass. Aroma is sweet, very ’loud’. Malty. Rum, maybe too much for me. Caramel. Vanilla. Molasses. Hint of chocolate. Flavor is more balanced, more soft spoken and pleasant version of the aroma.. Lighter medium body. Almost crisp. Touch of woody sourness. Not really boozy. Oddly balanced for me. The rum barrel character works well but Doesn’t have the depth I was hoping for. I also think it would help more if I liked rum cake or candy type things. Will set one aside and see how some extra time in the bottle will treat it.
