2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Single bottle from Lemon Tree. Not sure why Capital is pumping out the pale lagers. I’m really not interested in trying all of them side-by-side to see if they’re any different. This starts with oxidation under the cap. Pale yellow under a foamy head that at least clings to glass a bit. Smell in the glass is the usual pale malt, though there may be a bit more hop at work. Taste is more of the pale lagers malt, but at least it seems to be all malt, and just a slight bit more German hop at work. Not much more than a sneeze, but a decent fishing beer.

Bottle, thanks George999! Light caramel malt aroma with just a touch of citrus. Pours clear golden colored with a virtually nonexistent white head with no retention or lacing. Starts very malty with a little bit of caramel. Finishes crisp and clean with a bit of lemony citrus. Good, refreshing beer for hot summer days, but nothing to write home about.

Pale gold. Decaying vegetal hops and adjunct. Flavor is adjunct and more vegetal hopping. Lingering metallic notes and diacetyl.

[Tap] Pours a dull yellow color with some fizzy white foam on top. Nose of cereal grains, mild grass and floral hops. Sweet and grainy flavors mix with light corn syrup and straw. Light cracker malts and hints of perfume in the taste as well. Simple, but not bad. Tasting notes from 8/2014.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with white head. Aroma is grassy and grains with some herbal notes. Taste is very smooth with no detectable bitterness. Grassy, grains, corn, perfume. Moderate sweet and light bodied. Excellent for a pale lager, probably the best I've had.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nearly clear gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma is toast, mineral, light toasty and sweet corn, biscuit, skunk, floral and grassy hops. Flavor is toast, mild sweet corn, mineral, light floral hops, a hint of fallen autumn leaves, skunk, grassiness, faint spicy hops and crisp minerality. Light body, creamy, but crisp entry, light to medium carbonation, and still creamy but much more crisp and mineral laden finish. Damn good for a Pale Lager.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can - Golden pour with a foamy white head. Nose is a bit metallic, light honey bread malt, a bit of sticky grain, and just a touch of herbal hoppiness. Taste is light graininess, real rustic, a touch of herbal hoppiness, and a long, grainy finish. Medium-thin, with medium carbonation. Decent for a pale lager...great maltiness.

Summer Beer Dabbler 2014. Decent pale lager with a good palate. Not much else; but this is drinkable enough.

Tap at Brady’s. Clear pale gold pour with a clingy white head. Smells like a cream ale. Medium to light palate. Good for the style, so so in general.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a perfectly clear light copper/straw with a fizzy two finger head and decent retention. Body is thin and strongly carbonated, no stickiness. Fairly mild flavor profile as expected, a bit of bread and maybe a touch of honey on the finish. Pretty simple, but I think this is a nicely made beer.

This 16 oz can was sent to me by Strykzone, my trading partner premier. The brew poured butterscotch color with a good sized white head and very little lacing. Nose of floral and grassy hops. Medium body. Flavor is dominated by the hops, and the finish shows some pepper. Decent.
