COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bock beer with a beautiful, deep golden hue. Very smooth, this beer has great depth of character, and is an excellent beer to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring. Available February through April.

Thanks to Jewedekind for this. I love Maibocks, and this is my second of 2005. Pours copper, with a good sized white head. Aroma of malt, some hops, apricot, floral esters. Tastes malty, with a solid honey/caramel element backed up with that great bockish finish. Smooth and oh-so-drinkable. Yeah man!

Bottle sample. Aroma is malty. It’s kind of difficult for me to discern any other aroma. Pours a golden brown with a medium white-beige head. It’s lighter than I would expect, but rich and malty. Not my favorite bock, but more of a "session" bock for me. I very much enjoyed the other 5 as well.

This was the first of two Capital beers I had during the 2nd 2004 Presidential debate (Bush v. Kerry). This was a very nice beer with which to start the debate. Rich, malty palate, with an underlying fruity note that lends some tang (like a peach or dried apricot), and a good caramel/butterscotch zest. Moderate carbonation lifting it off the tongue. Extremely flavorful with lots of malty depth. With this beer, I was the real winner of the Presidential debate.

Thick, effervescent milky head; pale, coppery color.Notes of vanilla, citrus, spice, nuts, cedar. Firm maltines, solid texture. Sweet, tangy, pleasant finish. A little buttery, though. Not the best maibock on the block, but still a solid citizen.

12 oz. bottle: slightly hazed apricot, with a full foam that dies into an off-white patchy work...very nice toasted malt aroma with hints of caramel and buttered white bread. Sweet fruity flavours round out a beer with a great malt bill and just enough hops to even out the sweetness.

I love Wisconsin beers I do I do. Bought this one from John’s Grocery in Iowa City thats shipping beer again. Thats right their baaaack!!!! Can’t miss with Capital either great beer from a great beer state. Looks very much like the Dogwood I had before it. Bottom line, Capital Maibock is tons better than Dogwood. Not a slam on Dogwood but Capital is terrific beer. More hops/malts, smoother and more gravity and definitely a denser feeling beer. Underrated and definitely a beer everybody who doesn’t know should try. Capital’s product is awesome and never disappoints. Besides its a Wisconsin Micro, thats what you expect:)

Deep orange with fine bubbles, thin head. Malty nose, sweet, with citrus. Creamy mouthfeel, slight prickle with carmel and nice acidity. Finish lingering

Clear amber body with a thin, white head. Creamy malt nose with some nice sweetness. Caramel and creamy nut (almond?) butter, lightly toasted grains, honey and perhaps a hint of balancing hops. The body is light enough for a summer day, but hefty enough for pleasure on the tongue. More creamy, slightly sweet elements in the flavor. The caramel really shines through with the nuts, grains, toasted bread and light fruitiness taking a back seat. The finish is not extremely long, but does leave a little sweetness on the tongue. A nice summer beer.
