A bock beer with a beautiful, deep golden hue. Very smooth, this beer has great depth of character, and is an excellent beer to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring. Available February through April.

Faint aroma of caramel and malt. Clean burnt orange appearance with quickly disepating head. Nice crunchy flavor of sweet malt, with hints of toffee and caramel. Slight bitter finish that lingers.

Sweet aroma, with a malty edge. Orange color with a light white ring of a head. Flavor has that same sweetness, which is nicely balanced with nice wheatyness. Palate is dry and frothy, nicely delivering taste.

Pours a nice clear golden amber with white foam. Has some good looking carbonation going in the glass. Aroma is light malt with a tiny bit of hop. Taste is malt with a bit of sweetness and a little hop to balance it out. Well balanced. Light palate with good carbonation. Overall a great beer. Very clean taste and easy to drink. Overall probably my favorite Maibock. I look forward to it in the spring.

This beer pours light amber with a clean white head. A lot of visible carbonation. A fruity citrus aroma. Sweet taste with a smooth finish. This beer goes down very nicely. No surpirse it rates so high in its class.

Warm golden amber with a clean white head and big streaks of lace. Taste starts with a full-bodied semi-sweet caramel malt. As it grows through the palate, soft carbonation joins in until a clean, light, hop-bittering brings everything back into line at the finish. This is a well-balanced brew that is a pleasure to drink. Well conceived, good looking, easy drinking, a terrific light session beer. Highly recommended.

On tap at the brewery, pours a dark golden/orange with an off white head and some lacing, aroma is sweet with caramel and some molasses, flavor has a sweet front end with a finish of caramel, not terrible.

Sweetish, cakey malt aroma with some light vanilla and a little twang. Pours a bright orange, with a thin nearly-white head. Good label and cap, twistoff longneck. Nice, even bitterness, not very sweet, maybe a wee bit of brine to it. Medium body, a tad on the light side -- or perhaps that’s just the impression that it gives because it is a clean-drinking brew. A woody-bitter finish. This would be a good barbeque beer -- it’s just a good ’with food’ brew. ABC, Betton.
