COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bock beer with a beautiful, deep golden hue. Very smooth, this beer has great depth of character, and is an excellent beer to celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring. Available February through April.

Coppery red with a thin white ring of a head. Flowery honey and fresh-cut straw nose; a touch of sour wheat and metallics underneath. Flavor has some heavy graininess, undertones of toast, with more copper pennies. Finish is a little harsh; toasted, sour wheat and melba toast. A mid-range maibock.

Pours a clear, pale amber with a 1 finger creamy, white head that fades to a paper thin skim pretty quickly. Aroma is caramel, lots of cereal grain, dried grass, honey and toasted bread. Flavor is toast, sweet cereal grain, floral hony, spicy hops, light herbal notes and white bread crust. Palate is medium bodied, a little oily and has a light, but sharp carbonation. Pretty good overall.

Hard to put my finger on, but it lacks body and tasted off. Have not had much luck with Capital.

12 oz bottle from TC Craft. Pours a very transparent golden color without much head. Clean, grainy aromas with some hoppy notes. Flavor is both sweet and slightly hoppy with a pretty smooth finish. Very easy drinking beer.

tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 12, 2010
12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass. The color was a clear, deep, orangy gold tone, with off white foam to a rather quickly diminishing head, leaving a light layer, small ring, and spots and streaks of lacing. The aroma was lightly grainy, pils malt, and a hint of noble hop. The flavor was similar, adding to these notes a little toastiness, and a touch of sweetness. An enjoyably crisp and clean lager.
