On tap at the Bockfest early ticket release party! Nice orange color. Nice malty aroma with some light hops. Sweet malts, caramel. Light finishing hops. Tasty!

Bottle from Archer Liquor. Pours copper with a decent off-white head. Aroma is roast caramel. Medium body with average carbonation. Flavor is medium caramel with very mild hop. Kind of herby grassy hop. Pretty good beer.

12oz bottle 11/18/09 (Singles rack @ Binny’s Naperville)-Pours a clear amber with a huge off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, and a little vanilla. Taste of the same with more sweetness and vanilla coming through. This medium bodied brew is very well balanced and quite tasty.

This is no doubt one of the beers that got me thinking about flavors and complexities in beer and started me off on taking beer more seriously. Of course that was years ago, but I think it still holds up nicely. The beer pours an orange color with a medium head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is nice with some honey, some light saltwater and some hay with a light touch of malt sweetness. The flavor is doughy with notes of apple noble hops and a light mineral character.

Poured from the bottle to a light yellow with thin white head that dissipated quickly and left little lacing. Aroma was faint, but what was there was a muted malty fruit overtaken by mild skunk. Mouthfeel thin and non-desctript and the flavor was bland. This all led to a finish that was short and dry.
Not impressed with this one.

Pours a medium clear amber. Medium white head. Nice roasted maltiness. Good hops, malt balance. Medium carbonation. Very flavorful.
