Pours a clear deep orange-gold with a big off-white head that produces some lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and honey. Sweet lightly-toasted malt flavor along with some buttery caramel and slight hop bitterness. 6.2 % ABV not elevated enough to negatively affect the taste (good thing), but enough to get your attention. True to type and a pretty fine effort!

On tap at the brewery, pours a dark golden/orange with an off white head and some lacing, aroma is sweet with caramel and some molasses, flavor has a sweet front end with a finish of caramel, not terrible.

A dark gold to light amber with little to no head retention. Aroma is of light floral. Taste is a medium maibock with lingering spice

Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2012
Sweetish, cakey malt aroma with some light vanilla and a little twang. Pours a bright orange, with a thin nearly-white head. Good label and cap, twistoff longneck. Nice, even bitterness, not very sweet, maybe a wee bit of brine to it. Medium body, a tad on the light side -- or perhaps that’s just the impression that it gives because it is a clean-drinking brew. A woody-bitter finish. This would be a good barbeque beer -- it’s just a good ’with food’ brew. ABC, Betton.

PorterPounder (4108) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2012
Tallahassee, FL - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium copper, light off-white head. Slightly sweet aroma, hints of caramel, a touch of molasses. Flavor is full-bodied and sweet in just the right way. Pick up some nutty notes, a bit of caramel, hints of chocolate, finish of molasses. Mouthfeel is smooth. Overall, nice.

Nice clear amber red color with a decent head with very little lacing. A balanced beer.

12 oz bottle pours a clear light orange color with a small white head. Smells of honey, caramel, and flowers. Aroma is pretty much the same, with some grassiness. Easily drinkable. Body is at best medium with noticeable carbonation. This has a clean finish which makes me want to come back for more. Very good, but it didn’t make me say WOW.

Solid spring beer. Fresh but definitely malt enough to know you’re drinking something with body.

Very smooth finishing beer. Light refreshing taste. Great balance. Very drinkable and light. Good session beer, even if it lacks some character.

Out of a bottle. Creamy head and firm dark rich body. Very smooth, enjoyable hop balance. Nice finish. Great seasonal.

Aroma is slightly perfumed bread and grainy malts. The flavor is malty and grainy along with a hint of fruit. Pretty good heller bock.
