3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear very dark brown with a one-finger head that leave no lacing. Dark, roasted malt predominates but accompanies some nutty and bready aromas as well with perhaps a touch of chocolate. Light herbal hops. Thin to medium body with fizzy carbonation. Medium finish of roasted malt and coffee with a little tobacco. This is pretty good.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not much aroma to speak of, just some caramel malt. Taste is mostly malt as well. Some caramel and maybe a touch of coffee. It is a smooth drinker, just not very much going on.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rich sweet dark grain odor. Dark amber with a long-lasting ivory head and spots of lace. This is a one-hit wonder, but a very good one. Taste begins ands ends with a full-bodied bitter caramel malt that is both light and satisfying. Very drinkable, not filling, consistent in flavor, a solid choice for sessioning. Recommended.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours a clear reddish brown with faint carbonation and very little head. Aroma has spicy notes with caramel malt, plums and some earthy/barley old tavern-ness to it. Taste is of raisins, bread, sweet caramel. Somewhat light and a bit sour. Finishes short with a fizziness; sweet and tangy. Malt differences - is that the separation between this style and a vienna? It is an easy drinker, however, no need to revisit this style as it does not have the depth or richness I am looking for in flavor.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown with red highlights, small off-white head. Dark lager aroma with lots of roast, a bit of smoke, and some very subtle nobel hops. The flavor is a tad sweet at first, with toasted malts, then, a burst of carbonation brings balancing hops that clean it all up. Crisp, almost dry finish with lingering toast. Pretty solid.
