12oz bottle. Poured a deep amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, light chocolate, roast and some caramel. Tastes of toasted malts, light roast, and light chocolate. Tastes on the weaker side compared to the aromas. Thinner body.

Pours a dark brown, almost chocolate colored. Nice sweetness in the aroma, maybe butterscotch or brown sugar. Has a nice mouthfeel, although slightly weak. Very tasty. Notes of chocolate and an overall sweetness. Finishes appropriately bitter. A good beer.
1.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 CigarsLoveBeer (153) - Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2007
Bottle: The aroma of this beer seemed really off to me. I really could not get over the grass and menthol aromas here. Some chocolate was noted as well. In the mouth, the chocolate flavors dominated, and were actually quite rich compared to what I’m used to. But I also noted saltiness and sourness that did not mach well with the chocolate flavors. Did note some coffee like bitterness in the finish as well. This was definitely an interesting beer, but good...?
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 shigadeyo (2394) - Harrison, Ohio, USA - MAR 7, 2007
Capital Munich Dark pours a hazy, dark amber brown with a biege head. The aroma is sweet and malty with some inviting fruit and butterscotch to it as well. The flavor is malty and a bit fruity like a bock beer, but not as strong or defined. Mild grassy and spicy bitterness and some sourness here and there. There is some roasted malt flavor in the finish as well as some spicy and floral hoppiness. I would say that this beer is medium bodied, pretty smooth, and good overall.
12 oz bottle (bonus) from buckybeer. Thanks Mark!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sliffy (2035) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 19, 2006
Bottle: Reddish brown color with a small white head. Aroma, chocolaty, toasted malts, some coffee. Flavor, sweet, roasted malts, a little thin. Has an earthyness to it. Would like a bit more character, but it’s alright. Easy drinking if nothing else.
