COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Flame is a very interesting concept and there is not enough space to describe it here. You’ll have to visit our website for the complete story. But it will suffice to say that this is the "birth beer" of the concept. In this stage it is a blend of Autumnal Fire and a formula for something we whipped together and called "Imperial Fire." Combined they form the beginning of the Eternal Flame, a deeply amber hued Doppelbock that is 9.1 ABV of silky malt intensity.

Bottle shared by CaptainCougar. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is caramel, cookie malt, melanoidins, dates and light diacetyl notes. Flavor is diacetyl, sweet malt and no hops or bitterness, and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Pours a clear amber bronze with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a slightly tart fruity estery nose with some toasted caramel malty notes. Starts with pretty good fullness and sweet dark caramel maltiness with some noble hop bitterness before a drier slightly warming finish. Could be a little smoother.

22 oz. bomber. Rich, amber pour with little to no head. Visible carbonation. Aroma of caramel and toffee, strong booze, sweet ripe fruit. Flavor is rich, sweet, fruity. Strong booziness. Warming and inviting. This is full bodied, rich, thick, medium carbonation. Finishes on a boozy sweet note. This is a really impressive, huge bock.

(bottle) Pours a clear red color with a very thin off-white head that does retain throughout consumption. Aroma is full of assorted dried fruits, with cherries, prunes, and raisins rising above everything else. The cherry flavor veers towards maraschino territory with further warming along with some snap pea. Weird. Could be some caramel and a bit of musty lager yeast, but not much besides that. The flavor follows suit with the aroma, but it’s a bit more dialed back, with the cherry again being the feature flavor, followed by some prune and raisin. Caramel and brown sugar make an appearance here, and the flavors intensify the more this warms. Starts to taste a bit like Dr. Pepper. Faint hint of graham cracker on the finish. This drinks incredibly well for a 9% beer, and the alcohol is never noticeable. Overall not a bad beer.

Slightly hazy light brown color with a thin creamy head. sweet malty aroma with a yeasty tang. Flavor of sweet molasses, dark fruit and yeast. Full bodied, syrupy texture with very little carbonation and a nice malty finish. This is one of those hearty beers that really satisfies you on a winter night.
