Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount sweet grains and cereal with not much of a hop presence. Flavor is similarly sweet with cereal and sweet grains. A bit one note overall.

Nice, well brewed. A little incipit perhaps but nice to feel the refreshing lagery features in it.

I expect much better out of Capital Brewery. The flavor is a mix of turpentine and water that was used to hard-boil eggs. I tried it several times thinking I just had a bad batch, but the results have been consistent. Save yourself the money and just buy a case of Hamm’s.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 novels (332) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 4, 2013
Disappointing beer. Pale but without much flavor, a little flat, but there is some malt character in there somewhere. I’ll pass next time, though.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 spilledpint (322) - Iowa, USA - DEC 29, 2012
12 oz. can.
Ar: Light malty aroma with maybe a touch of grassiness.
Ap: Pours a light gold with a one inch frothy head that has decent retention.
T: Flavor is just mildly sweet with a decent amount of malt flavor and a touch of grassiness on the finish despite almost no bitterness.
P: Somewhat thin with moderate carbonation.
O: Very simple, but clean and well executed. Don’t know if I’d ever choose it, but it’s very well made.

Bottle from PUB’R. Pours pale gold, a tad hazy, with white head. Nose is hopcitrus, mild fruit. Tasted of bready pale malt, hopcitrus, a bit simplistic in flavor.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Christpuncher (219) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Not much to say about this beer. The best description I can provide is that it is a miller lite with a lot of flavor.

As advertised, I can here sense the lighter side of the mom-and-pop past I never experienced. While this is a pale lager and thus not going to thrill anyone (and as usual, big swigs of it reveal skunkiness), its clear, corn-and-cracker taste (no gimmicky spices here as in most lighter micro lagers) and relatively restrained carbonation make it a cut above the macro swill that many (especially in Wisconsin, home of Miller and Leinenkugel’s) are loyal to.
