A classic Wisconsin Lager at it’s finest. Harking back to an era where Supper Clubs were In Vogue and Wisconsin had numerous regional breweries making their version of American Style Lagers. You know, back when these types of beers exhibited regional soul. And many of these beers were enjoyed during an evening spent at a local Supper Club, visiting with friends and family and having a good dinner. Supper Club is an eminently drinkable version of a true American Lager. Featuring a greater depth of refreshing malt character than the mass marketed versions of the style, Supper Club is clean yet satisfying.

Sweet, just a little spicy hops in the finish. Light and smooth. Light citrus. Grass. Some corn/butter. Pale malty. Not bad. Better than a macro...

Bottle at a pizza joint. Stay away from this one - I do not want to join this club.

12oz Bottle. Hands down the best Pale Lager ever. Creamy malt aroma. Flavors build on the single traditional malt base and stay steady. There’s this beautfiul soft creamy quality to Capital’s lagers and the application here brings this beer to another level for the style. Rich, well built, satisfying, drinkable and reverent. Fine lagering.

Hazy Darker Shade of Yellow, Medium Head Some Lacing. Sweet malt and Yeast. Something Funky about it. Tried it on a couple of different occasions, seems consistent. Got to be the style or out of date, since there is nothing marked on the label. As it is , tolerable but not pleasant. Pass it...

Just an average lager. Nice golden color with a crisp taste. Like the label says, "Not Bad" but not great.

Pours clear golden with a white head. The aroma is quite malty with light bread, milk caramel and lager smoothness with little, if any, hops noticeable. It has a medium / light body that’s smooth and has fairly light carbonation. The flavor begins with caramel, lushness to malt without being overly sweet, and the clean lager yeast. This is as advertised - basic, no frills and really good for what it is. The finish has a touch of spicy hops. No off flavors, no flaws, simple tasting and overall easy drinking enjoyable beer.

Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount sweet grains and cereal with not much of a hop presence. Flavor is similarly sweet with cereal and sweet grains. A bit one note overall.

Nice, well brewed. A little incipit perhaps but nice to feel the refreshing lagery features in it.

I expect much better out of Capital Brewery. The flavor is a mix of turpentine and water that was used to hard-boil eggs. I tried it several times thinking I just had a bad batch, but the results have been consistent. Save yourself the money and just buy a case of Hamm’s.
