A classic Wisconsin Lager at itís finest. Harking back to an era where Supper Clubs were In Vogue and Wisconsin had numerous regional breweries making their version of American Style Lagers. You know, back when these types of beers exhibited regional soul. And many of these beers were enjoyed during an evening spent at a local Supper Club, visiting with friends and family and having a good dinner. Supper Club is an eminently drinkable version of a true American Lager. Featuring a greater depth of refreshing malt character than the mass marketed versions of the style, Supper Club is clean yet satisfying.

Just an average lager. Nice golden color with a crisp taste. Like the label says, "Not Bad" but not great.

Pours clear golden with a white head. The aroma is quite malty with light bread, milk caramel and lager smoothness with little, if any, hops noticeable. It has a medium / light body thatís smooth and has fairly light carbonation. The flavor begins with caramel, lushness to malt without being overly sweet, and the clean lager yeast. This is as advertised - basic, no frills and really good for what it is. The finish has a touch of spicy hops. No off flavors, no flaws, simple tasting and overall easy drinking enjoyable beer.

Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount sweet grains and cereal with not much of a hop presence. Flavor is similarly sweet with cereal and sweet grains. A bit one note overall.

Nice, well brewed. A little incipit perhaps but nice to feel the refreshing lagery features in it.

I expect much better out of Capital Brewery. The flavor is a mix of turpentine and water that was used to hard-boil eggs. I tried it several times thinking I just had a bad batch, but the results have been consistent. Save yourself the money and just buy a case of Hammís.

Disappointing beer. Pale but without much flavor, a little flat, but there is some malt character in there somewhere. Iíll pass next time, though.

12 oz. can. Ar: Light malty aroma with maybe a touch of grassiness. Ap: Pours a light gold with a one inch frothy head that has decent retention. T: Flavor is just mildly sweet with a decent amount of malt flavor and a touch of grassiness on the finish despite almost no bitterness. P: Somewhat thin with moderate carbonation. O: Very simple, but clean and well executed. Donít know if Iíd ever choose it, but itís very well made.

Bottle from PUBíR. Pours pale gold, a tad hazy, with white head. Nose is hopcitrus, mild fruit. Tasted of bready pale malt, hopcitrus, a bit simplistic in flavor.
