3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fidelis83 (1354) - Clinton, USA - JUN 8, 2010
Pours clear gold with a very creamy 1 finger white head that is well sustained by a rater high effervescence if not natural retention. Aroma is sweet, dry grass, raw grain, cereal, half baked bread hay and maybe just a hint of scalloped corn. Flavor is sweet white bread, cereal grain, grass, baby sweet corn, light toasty malts and some nice, crisp mineral notes to finish. Palate is fairly light bodied with a creamy entry, soft, but lively carbonation and crisp, nearly neutral (leaning to the dry side) finish. What a great pale lager! One that really hits all the right notes for me. It may not be the most intense or complex brew ever, but very well balanced and very pleasant on the palate.

12oz can from Sonoma Cellars Delavan. Pours a bright yellow color with a with a white head. Aroma is malty, corn. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, corn, with a light, sweet finish. A top notch pale lager. Why drink BMC when you could drink this.

Can from Kelly’s Liquors, Wisconsin Rapids. Sweet corn aroma. Crystal clear light gold with a white but ultimately fully dissipating head. No lace. Some visible carbonation. What this brew has going for it is a heck of a lot more flavor than most lagers. Very sweet for a lager with discernible corn aspect. Enjoyable.

Pours a lifeless gold with quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of light graininess and butterscotch. Plain, slightly sweet flavor with grain and butter. The label is lying, it’s bad.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2012
I kinda like the story behind the beer. Light, clear gold, thin white head, OK label, good cap. Bready, straw-sweet, cereal aroma. Mouthy, without being heavy. Lightly bitter and bready - like a big ole, dense dinner roll made with potato flour and looking for some butter. A little tangy in the finish, proper carbo. Good session brew, good with chili. Looks like Capital has mastered the simple, drinkable lager. ABC, Betton.
