3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. can.
Ar: Light malty aroma with maybe a touch of grassiness.
Ap: Pours a light gold with a one inch frothy head that has decent retention.
T: Flavor is just mildly sweet with a decent amount of malt flavor and a touch of grassiness on the finish despite almost no bitterness.
P: Somewhat thin with moderate carbonation.
O: Very simple, but clean and well executed. Don’t know if I’d ever choose it, but it’s very well made.

Pours a rich straw gold with a medium semi lacy head. Aroma is hay/grass. Taste is clean. Nice malt balance with moderate sweetness. Brief dry finish. Not much aftertaste. Not my style, but pleasant and refreshing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a pale yellow with a thick white head from the bottle that dissipates quickly. Notes a barley in the aroma. No lacing in the glass. Taste is a nice clean lager with a light mouthfeel. Light carbonation in the mouth. Taste is kind of like a light beer. Very nice clean finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a can poured in a lager glass. Initial slightly sharp bite that is just enough to make it taste quenching. Mellows out into a superbly well balanced lager. Great all-around lawnmower beer. One of the best. Will have to pick some of this up.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. There’s an initial burst of lemon on the nose, but this fades quickly and gives way to a crusty bread note. There’s also hints of damp cardboard, and a sugary candy caramel. It pours a clear, effervescent, yellow orange color with an active, soda-like, white head that evaporated very quickly. Small bubbles continue to stream up, but they burst almost as soon as they hit the surface. A very thin, soapy ring is left behind with a clear surface, and no lace. It’s a medium-high, syrupy sweetness with a light bitter note to mellow it out some. The slick, waxy texture has an above average amount of soft, fuzzy carbonation and a medium malty body. Notes of mineral water, a dry, sweet, white wine are noted on the tongue. Some caramel and toasted bread come through more on the finish. The aftertaste keeps the bread and the minerals lingering and the caramel becomes more honey-like.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from Binnys, drunk 4/18/14
Not much head to speak of. White cluster of bubbles runs for the edges. Clear waxy-yellow looking body is well-carbonated.
Clean, at least, is the nose. Very little hop character to speak of, but I guess that’s what they’re going for. Maybe a touch of pepperiness. Mostly just white bread sugars from the malt. Touch of vanilla light mineral.
Fairly watery, again mostly clean, with some waxiness and vanilla that are perhaps a bit unwanted but none of the majors offenders of the style; dms, diacetyl, acetaldehyde, etc...Well-attenuated and certainly quite drinkable. I guess I was expecting something a little more characterful from Capital, since their other beers are so delicious, but this is what it’s billed as and you can’t fault it for that.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very easy drinking lager that represent a good night out at a supper club in WI. Nice amount of hops but enough malt character to balance this lager out. Very clean tasting.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light bodied lager with lemony aroma. Easy drinking but not a very complex flavor. It would be a good beer on a hot summer day.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden coloured body with a thin two centimetre tall white head. Aroma of lemons, wheat, grass and a bit of metal. Light-bodied; Sharp malt notes with some grain, rice and honey all with a nice malt depth and some metallic twangs near the end. Aftertaste shows some mild malt tastes, a bit of grain and metal, some rice and a bitter finish. Overall, a nice beer for the style, but not great overall - drinkable, of course, but showing a bit too many bitter and deep flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Corner Store (Bait and Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida on 30-December-2013 for US$2.39 sampled in my hotel room here in Clearwater, Florida on 03-January-2014.
