Hops with an American accent. Disarmingly drinkable.

On tap at GTMW. Poured a clear bright golden with a short white head. Aroma picked up soft bready and caramel notes.. not much else.. not very complex. Flavor had a sweet caramel and grapefruit middle with pleasant grapefruit and floral bitterness.. tasty and simple with a short bready and pine finish. Very sessionable. Creamy middle on the palate with light-moderate bitterness.. lighter-bodied.

sampled on tap during the tasting portion of their tour, i didn’t take much notes but almost all the beers tasted extremely similar. i found this to be nicely hopped with a toasted biscuit finish. decent.

Sampled on the brew tour. Enjoyed while a man coated in sweat danced drunkenly to the cover band and attempted to get with some other woman up there. Sorry man I guess sweet home alabama wasn’t her song. This ones for you. Pours a clear amber/orange with a white head. Malty nose carmel a few hints of cascade? hops. Clean flavors carmel, pear, grain. Decent, balanced, and clean but nothing special.

I can’t believe I’m the second person to rate this beer. Sample from the brewery. Clear amber color with small white head. Caramel and sweet aroma that was matched in the flavor but also clove and banana aroma as well. Med full body. Very standard pale without any hops to speak of.

Kirby has gone native on us and left Germany for the good ol USA. Tap at the bier garten. This beer is pale yellow with a hefty head. Nice nose of malty malt. I’d say a German malt with a good dose of Munich. Biscuits and pecan sandies. Very little hop character but the bitterness is there. Extremely well balanced in terms of aroma (how does he do that so consistently?), but this beer isn’t supposed to be. Bitterness is somehow smoozed over by the malty goodness. I love the hay/understated caramel with little finish for a summer beer. I had a Fest after this and it tasted so overdone. Good effort at a new direction for my hometown brewery.
