A growler carted back by Skyview. Gold color with a little head. Strong aroma of citrus and grass. The grass stays in the forefront for flavor; citrus falls to the background. Not much bitterness, but an overall well made beer.

Thanks to skyview for sharing. A better than average pale ale. Great hop aroma and full bodied hop flavor with citrus and grass. Cloudy gold colored.

Bottle. Super clean light copper with a small head. Nice carbonation with bubbles showering to the surface. Good looking pour. Aroma is light hops, pine, malt, grapefruit. Flavor is hops, bitter pine, citrus, malt. Finish is crisp, dry, and slightly bitter. I found it to be quite refreshing.

Sampled on draught at the brewery taproom in Middleton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale yellow brew with a thin white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bread malt with an abundance of grapefruit zest, piney hops and tart lemon. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with smooth and creamy flavor that has a good balance of bready malt and citrus zest. Finish has a malty flavor at first and then a lingering mild bitter aftertaste. Received word that Capital Brewery will be bottling this pale ale soon.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a clear orange color. Head was white and two fingers high. Aroma was hop dominated; grassy, citrusy, and kind of sweaty. Tasted of biscuity malt with a touch of caramel. There were also some citrusy hops. Delicately sweet at then end with some lingering caramel.

On tap at Thirsty Troll Brewfest

This was my last sample of the night before checking out some of the regular beers like Ale Asylum and Grumpy Troll. I missed out on the Hpplebock by one day and didn’t want to miss this. It is a bit outside what Capital normally does but not bad. It’s not going to shake things up but as far as pale ales go this gets the job done.

Aroma / Appearance - Cereal grain and simple hops were the basis of a light nose. As expected there is not much to it. The body is an ideal golden hue with strong transparency and weak carbonation.

Flavor / Palate - Clean wheat was first followed by lemonade and orange Gatorade. It fades fast without leaving much of a trace. Unlikeable some pale ales that do the minimum this one is actually worth revisiting. Hopefully it will see bottling as some point in the future.

On tap at GTMW. Poured a clear bright golden with a short white head. Aroma picked up soft bready and caramel notes.. not much else.. not very complex. Flavor had a sweet caramel and grapefruit middle with pleasant grapefruit and floral bitterness.. tasty and simple with a short bready and pine finish. Very sessionable. Creamy middle on the palate with light-moderate bitterness.. lighter-bodied.

sampled on tap during the tasting portion of their tour, i didn’t take much notes but almost all the beers tasted extremely similar. i found this to be nicely hopped with a toasted biscuit finish. decent.

Sampled on the brew tour. Enjoyed while a man coated in sweat danced drunkenly to the cover band and attempted to get with some other woman up there. Sorry man I guess sweet home alabama wasn’t her song. This ones for you. Pours a clear amber/orange with a white head. Malty nose carmel a few hints of cascade? hops. Clean flavors carmel, pear, grain. Decent, balanced, and clean but nothing special.
